DescriptionThe whole story▼
Owners who take a 2016 or 2017 Zero DSR ZF13.0 onto trails need a rear brake that copes with dirt. Accossato's AGPP91 rear pad in off-road sintered compound, STMX for short, is the mixture the company offers for off-road riders. It is designed for use in muddy ruts, sandy tracks and dusty fire roads, where a rear pad lives a hard life and gets little care until the ride is over.
Key Features
- AGPP91 rear set for Zero DSR 2016-2017 (ZF13.0)
- STMX off-road compound
- Made by Accossato for riders who leave the tarmac
- Handles mud, sand and dust on trail rides
- Suits river crossings and wet ruts
- Alternatives for this rear pad: OR, ST
- Pair of pads, one caliper
Construction and Material Quality
For STMX Accossato's statement is concise: it is the compound for off-road riders. The formulation is built to keep working when dirt gets between pad and disc and when water cools the brake abruptly. Accossato has deep roots in off-road sport, including an Enduro world title in 1985, and this rear pad reflects that background.
Trail Riding on an Early DSR
On a trail, the rear brake is a steering tool as much as a speed control. Dragging it slightly helps the Zero DSR settle on descents and pivot through tight turns. That constant light use, combined with sand and mud, wears pads faster than on the road, so check the rear set often. After a ride, rinse the caliper, inspect the disc for deep scoring and clean the pistons before pushing them back when fitting new pads. Water crossings can dampen the first few stops; drag the brake gently afterwards to dry it.
Fitment and Compatibility
Only the ZF13.0 DSR of the 2016 and 2017 model years is covered here, according to Accossato's catalogue. Someone riding the later 2023 bike with the ZF17.3-X pack should pick AGPA29 for the back wheel. Up front, trail riders on the early machine fit AGPA92, while the 2023 owner reaches for AGPA96. Swap both rear pads in one go, and if the disc has been gouged by grit, measure it before deciding whether it can stay. A deeply grooved disc will wear new pads unevenly from the first ride.
Road Approval
We have no approval documents or German ABE for this product, which is therefore sold for sport and competition.
