DescriptionThe whole story▼
This is the combination the Triumph Tiger 900 RALLY was made for: a bike with spoked wheels and long-travel suspension, and a rear pad designed for dirt. For the RALLY built from 2020 to 2025, Accossato lists rear pad AGPP91 in its Off-road sintered (STMX) compound. It is aimed at owners who ride trails, gravel roads, sand and mud regularly, and who rely on the rear brake as a key tool when the ground is loose.
Key Features
- AGPP91 rear pad, STMX compound
- For the Triumph Tiger 900 RALLY, 2020 to 2025
- Accossato's compound for off-road riders
- Suits trail riding, sand, mud and rocky descents
- Two pads per box for the rear caliper
- OR and ST also available for road-focused riders
Construction and Material Quality
STMX is, in Accossato's words, the company's compound for off-road riders. The firm won an Enduro world title in 1985, and its dirt-bike background shows in the fact that it offers a dedicated mix for this use. In general, Accossato claims slow wear, fade resistance through controlled heat and powerful stopping for its pads.
Where the Rally Comes into Its Own
On a proper trail, the rear brake of a big adventure bike does much of the work. Standing on the pegs down a rocky descent, a steady pressure on the pedal keeps speed in check while the front wheel stays free to find its line. In tight, loose turns, a brief lock of the rear can help the bike rotate. Riding through sand or deep mud, the pedal is used constantly to modulate speed. All of this is done in conditions that are hard on the pads: grit, dust, water and clay. The STMX mix is designed for that environment. After each trail day, wash the caliper, check pad thickness and look for stones trapped between pad and disc. For purely road use, OR or ST is more suitable.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP91 for the rear of the Tiger 900 RALLY from 2020 to 2025. No Accossato front pad or disc for the RALLY is included in our data. When fitting, clean the piston before pushing it back, keep the disc clean of chain lube, and pump the pedal until firm before riding.
Road Approval
There are no German ABE or test documents for this pad in our records. It is intended for off-road sport and competition.
Scope of Delivery
Two STMX rear pads, AGPP91, for the rear caliper.
