The method

How the score is built

Ten areas, 85 points on the table, the result expressed out of 100. Every discipline shuffles the same fourteen possible areas into its own ten and weights them for the riding it describes — which is why the same helmet lands in a different place in each list.

  • An untested helmet is never punished.Where a fact could not be verified, that area is removed from the total instead of scored zero. The coverage figure in the table tells you how much was left standing.
  • What a maker would advertise counts as absent when nobody mentions it.FIM homologation, a rotational-impact system, a sun visor — silence on those is a no, not a shrug. Measured values like weight or an independent crash rating stay unknown without penalty.
  • Nothing is compared across disciplines.A 79 on tour and a 79 on track are two different sentences.
