How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Built for riders who demand track-level aerodynamics and race-proven protection in everyday use, the Shark Skwal Cup in matte black KMA is a wind-tunnel-refined full-face helmet that refuses to compromise. With its integrated rear spoiler, ECE 22.06 certification, and Optical Class 1 visor with Pinlock included, this is the helmet that bridges the gap between circuit performance and road versatility.
Key Features
- ECE 22.06 certified — meets the latest and most demanding European homologation standard
- Wind-tunnel-developed shell with integrated rear spoiler for high-speed stability and reduced turbulence
- Optical Class 1 visor — distortion-free, scratch-resistant, UV-protective, supplied with Pinlock insert
- Integrated drop-down sun visor operated by a smooth thumb slider for instant glare management
- Alveotec antibacterial liner — fully removable and washable for lasting freshness on long stints
- Speaker recesses and spectacle-friendly cutouts for seamless integration with comms systems
- Double-D ring fastening — the gold standard for retention on track and road alike
Aerodynamics and Ventilation
The Shark Skwal Cup shell was shaped in the wind tunnel to cut drag and suppress the buffeting that saps concentration at speed. The integrated spoiler generates meaningful downforce at motorway and track velocities, keeping the helmet planted and your neck relaxed mile after mile. Three-stage ventilation — a crown intake, chin intake, and rear exhaust ports — drives a continuous channel of fresh air through the helmet, reducing visor fogging and keeping your core temperature in check when pace rises.
Vision and Visor System
The Optical Class 1 main visor delivers an undistorted, wide-angle view of the road or circuit ahead. It is scratch-resistant and UV-protected as standard, so bright-sun sessions do not degrade your sightline. The included Pinlock insert creates an anti-fog inner lens that remains clear through rain, cold mornings, and rapid temperature changes — exactly the conditions where a misting visor becomes dangerous. When the sun drops below the treeline or you emerge from a tunnel, the integrated tinted sun visor slides down instantly, eliminating the need to stop and change lenses.
Fit, Comfort, and Rider Ergonomics
Two shell sizes are used across the six head sizes, ensuring the proportions of the helmet remain correct for every wearer rather than scaling a single shape to extremes. The Alveotec inner lining is soft, highly breathable, and carries an antibacterial treatment that actively suppresses odour — essential after hard riding. The liner removes completely for machine washing. Chin curtain and breath guard minimise wind noise at pace, while the spectacle grooves and speaker pockets mean the Skwal Cup integrates cleanly with prescription glasses and Bluetooth intercoms alike.
Matte Black KMA — Finish and Design
The KMA colourway is pure matte black: no graphics, no distractions. The finish is deliberately understated, letting the aerodynamic lines of the Skwal Cup speak for themselves. It pairs equally well with a track-day suit, a city leather jacket, or a touring setup — a versatile choice that does not date. Shark's 2025–2026 collection brings this colourway to the Skwal Cup shell with the same build quality the brand has maintained in international circuit environments.
