How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

When certification defines your commitment to safety, the Shoei X-SPR PRO A.Marquez73 V3 TC-2 stands in a class of its own — one of an elite handful of helmets approved to both ECE 22.06 and FIM FRHPhe-01, making it fully homologated for international racing series and the most demanding road use alike. Wearing the dynamic blue and white livery of Alex Márquez's 2025 MotoGP campaign, this replica is built to the same engineering standard the man himself trusts at speeds beyond 350 km/h.
Key Features
- Dual homologation: ECE 22.06 and FIM FRHPhe-01 — cleared for international racing competition and road use
- AIM+ (Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus) shell combines high-tensile glass fibres, organic fibres and high-performance fibre layers for outstanding impact absorption with minimal mass
- 13-vent ventilation system (7 inlets, 6 outlets) with an enhanced cheek-pad airflow channel delivering nearly double the air volume at face level
- CWR-F2R visor with 5 mm extended vertical field of view, tear-off compatibility and standard Pinlock EVO — unobstructed vision in every corner
- EQRS (Emergency Quick Release System) cheek-pad removal for trackside medical access, secured by the most reliable racing fastener: the double-D ring
- Chin area pre-routed for Shoei and Camelbak hydration systems — ready for endurance races and long track days
Safety Architecture: AIM+ Shell and Dual Homologation
The AIM+ outer shell is the foundation of the X-SPR PRO's safety case. By orientating layers of high-tensile glass fibres, organic fibres and high-performance composite fibres in a precisely engineered matrix, Shoei achieves a structure that disperses impact energy efficiently while keeping the overall weight to approximately 1,450 g. The result is rigorous dimensional stability — the shell holds its geometry under load rather than deforming unpredictably.
Crucially, that shell carries both ECE 22.06 homologation for European road use and FIM FRHPhe-01 approval for international motorsport competition. Very few helmets achieve both simultaneously. For the rider who wants a single helmet capable of a Sunday morning ride and a race licence event, this dual certification removes all compromise.
EQRS and Double-D Ring Retention
The Emergency Quick Release System allows medical personnel to remove the cheek pads rapidly without moving the rider's head and neck — a detail that matters most when it matters most. Retention is handled by a double-D ring chin strap, the fastening method mandated by virtually every racing authority worldwide for its proven security under load.
Comfort at Racing Speeds
Shoei engineers the X-SPR PRO's fit around the specific demands of the tuck position — a posture that places very different stresses on a helmet than upright riding. Four shell sizes ensure that the proportions scale correctly across the XS-to-XXL range rather than simply varying the liner. Inside, modular crown pads with individual adjustment inserts, 3D cheek pads with 16% greater contact surface area and a variable attachment system for seat-angle tuning all work together to hold the helmet absolutely still at speed. Liners are quick-drying, skin-friendly and fully removable and washable.
Ventilation: 7 Inlets, 6 Outlets
The 13-opening ventilation system represents one of the most extensive airflow networks Shoei has built into a helmet. Seven fresh-air inlets draw ambient air through deeply branched internal channels; six exhaust outlets expel warm air efficiently. The enhanced cheek-pad ventilation is particularly notable, channelling close to double the air volume across the face compared with previous generations — essential for extended race stints or hot-weather track days.
Aerodynamics: Wind-Tunnel Refined for High-Speed Stability
Hundreds of hours in the wind tunnel shaped every surface of the X-SPR PRO's shell. A new rear-head stabiliser, lateral fin elements and a refined rear spoiler contribute to an aerodynamically balanced overall shell geometry — a configuration that is the subject of a patent application. At the speeds Alex Márquez reaches on a MotoGP grid, the practical results are clear directional stability, reduced neck loading over race distances and predictable handling under braking from high speed.
CWR-F2R Visor
The CWR-F2R visor extends the vertical field of view by 5 mm compared with previous Shoei race visors — a meaningful gain when the rider is deep in a tuck and the horizon sits at the very top of the aperture. The visor is tear-off ready for track use, secured by a dual safety lock mechanism and supplied with a Pinlock EVO anti-fog insert fitted in a pin-free field-of-view zone so the Pinlock mounting points never intrude on sightlines during cornering.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Shoei X-SPR PRO A.Marquez73 V3 TC-2 is a road and track helmet suitable for all motorcycle types. Bluetooth intercom integration is possible with universal third-party systems; note that Shoei has not designated a SHOEI-SRL-specific integration for the X-SPR PRO. The helmet includes a glasses recess and can accommodate spectacle frames, though the close race fit should be verified in person by glasses wearers before purchase.
