D-AIR® Racing Shield 3X: Race-Bred Airbag Technology

The D-AIR® system fitted to the Misano 3 Perf. is Dainese's most advanced standalone racing airbag. Using onboard sensors and algorithms developed through years of top-level motorsport involvement, it deploys in milliseconds to shield the collarbone, shoulders and neck — the areas most at risk in a high-side or low-side incident. The gas generator can be self-replaced after deployment, allowing the suit to return to full protective duty without being sent back to the manufacturer, and the system supports up to three full activations before the generator requires replacement.

Before first use, the D-AIR® system must be activated and registered via the D-air® app installed on a compatible mobile device or tablet. Compatible products include the Misano 3 Perf. D-AIR® (men's and women's), the Mugello 3 D-AIR®, and Smart Air. Note: other models such as the Smart Jacket, Carve Master 2 D-AIR® Jacket and Racing 3 D-AIR® Jacket require PC-based software for initial activation. Regular software updates via the app are strongly recommended. The D-AIR® system cannot function without prior activation.

Ergonomics and Freedom of Movement

The Pent-Axial system on the back panel takes the proven Tri-Axial concept further, adding two additional planes of stretch for a total of five directional movements. Whether you are braking hard into a chicane or hanging off through a fast corner, the suit moves with you rather than against you. The Veloce Racing collar and Soft Edges construction at the neck and cuffs eliminate pressure points over a full race distance, while the aerodynamic rear hump is shaped to cut drag and improve stability at speed.

The In and Out Boot system gives riders the choice of wearing their boots over or under the suit leg, adding an extra layer of protection to the foot and ankle in either configuration.

Thermal Regulation and Comfort

The perforated leather panelling and breathable mesh liner work together to channel airflow across the body during high-speed track sessions. Targeted ventilation zones are positioned where heat build-up is greatest, making the suit a genuine option for hot-weather race days and extended track events. An integrated hydration bladder compartment allows riders to take on fluids during endurance sessions without leaving the suit. The removable, washable inner lining keeps the suit hygienic and in race-ready condition throughout a demanding season.

Fitment and Compatibility

The Dainese Misano 3 Perf. D-AIR® one-piece suit is designed for men and is available in sizes 44 through 64. It is a dedicated track and circuit garment intended for use at race events and track days. The In and Out Boot system is compatible with standard racing boots.

Warranty

The suit carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty in accordance with current Dainese guidelines. The warranty covers conformity defects and provides for free repair or replacement parts under Dainese's applicable terms and conditions.
