Construction & Comfort
The Torque 4 Air is built around a perforated microfibre shaft that circulates air continuously, working in tandem with the Double Jersey Airgap inner lining to wick moisture away and maintain a comfortable foot environment even in sustained summer heat. The elastic D-Stone fabric panels flex with your movement rather than fighting it, so the boot conforms naturally to your foot over the course of a long ride rather than feeling stiffer as the hours accumulate.
Getting in and out is handled by a rear zip for a clean, secure closure, while a quick-lace system lets you dial in the exact fit across the instep without fumbling with traditional laces. Flexible articulation zones at the ankle increase freedom of movement, reducing rider fatigue during extended stints on the pegs.
Track-Ready Protection
Despite its summer-focused ventilation, the Torque 4 Air does not compromise on safety credentials. The D-Axial system — constructed from TPU — works to prevent dangerous rotational forces reaching the ankle joint in a slide or impact. The magnesium heel cap is removable and replaceable, meaning the boot retains full protective integrity long after the first incident. Magnesium inserts on the outer edge and heel promote a controlled slide rather than sudden grip, reducing secondary injury risk. Three replacement slider kits are available separately to keep the boot performing at its best: part 1999948 Kit Stiefel Magnesium, part 1999885 stainless steel boot slider kit, and part 1999954 Kit Stiefel Slider Kunststoff 16.
