How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Hour-five comfort is where most helmets start making compromises — the Shark Skwal Cup Speed-Tech WRK is engineered precisely for those moments. Its removable, washable Alveotec inner lining moulds softly to your head, the two-shell sizing keeps the profile compact for every head circumference, and at 1,587 g (±50 g) the polycarbonate shell sits lightly on your shoulders whether you're threading city traffic or settling into a long motorway cruise.
Key Features
- Alveotec inner lining — soft, breathable, antibacterial and fully removable for machine washing, keeping the interior fresh on long-haul rides
- Two shell sizes deliver a genuinely close, natural fit across XS to XXL rather than padding out one oversized shell
- ECE 22.06 certified — meets the latest and most stringent European homologation standard for road and track use
- Optical Class 1 visor with scratch-resistant, UV-stabilised coating and Pinlock insert included for fog-free vision in all weathers
- Integrated drop-down sun visor operated by a smooth slider — no need to stop or swap visors when the light changes
- Speaker pockets and glasses-friendly cheek pads make the Skwal Cup a natural fit for communication systems and spectacle wearers
All-Day Wearability
The interior of the Skwal Cup Speed-Tech WRK has been tailored for riders who cover real distances. The chin curtain and breath deflector cut wind noise and cold air ingress, while the speaker recesses are sized to accept most popular intercom units without uncomfortable pressure points. Glasses wearers will appreciate the shaped cheek pads that allow the arms of spectacle frames to pass without digging in — a small detail that makes an enormous difference over several hours in the saddle.
Aerodynamics and Ventilation
Shark developed the Skwal Cup shell in a wind tunnel, and the result is a helmet that sits quietly on your head at motorway speeds rather than fighting you. The integrated rear spoiler damps lift and reduces buffeting, letting you concentrate on the road ahead. Ventilation runs in a logical circuit: crown intakes draw in fresh air, EPS-moulded internal channels distribute it evenly across the head, chin vents direct airflow across the inside of the visor to prevent misting, and rear exhaust ports expel warm air continuously. Open or close the vents with gloved hands without taking your eyes off the road.
Visor Technology
The wide-aperture Optical Class 1 visor gives an undistorted panoramic view — critical when reading a corner at pace or checking mirrors in heavy traffic. The included Pinlock insert creates a sealed air gap that eliminates condensation in cold or wet conditions. The visor seal is designed to reduce wind noise at the edges, and the scratch-resistant, UV-blocking coating keeps the optics clear through years of daily use.
Speed-Tech WRK Design
The Speed-Tech WRK graphic is a study in contrast: white base panels intersected by bold red lines that follow the aerodynamic contours of the shell. The result reads as fast even at rest, and suits everything from a naked roadster to a full-fairing supersport machine. This is a helmet that earns a second look without sacrificing the refined finish you expect from a French premium manufacturer.
