DescriptionThe whole story▼
Supermotos come from a discipline that mixes tarmac with dirt, and plenty of Dorsoduro 750 owners keep that spirit alive on a gravel car park, a farm track or a loose forest road. The rear brake does most of the steering work there, held on for longer and used harder than any road ride requires. For that, Accossato offers the AGPP91 pad in an off-road sintered (STMX) material, listed for the Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 of 2008 to 2018 and for the Factory version of 2012 and 2013.
Key Features
- STMX rear pads for the Aprilia Dorsoduro 750, article number AGPP91STMX
- Model years 2008 to 2018, with the Dorsoduro 750 Factory of 2012 and 2013 included
- The material Accossato mixes for riders who go beyond the tarmac
- Two pads to a box, which is the whole rear caliper
- OR and ST versions of the same shape suit road riding better
- Front pads for this bike: AGPA101, listed from 2009
- Accossato has been building brake parts since 1969
- No German ABE recorded; for off-road and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Three materials fill the AGPP91 outline and this one is aimed away from the road. Accossato introduced its off-road range for riders working in dust, sand and mud, conditions in which a pad spends its life being scoured by whatever the front wheel throws back at it. The company, in business since 1969, keeps its description short and names the use rather than the chemistry. As with every pad in this shape, a box contains two pieces and covers the single caliper at the rear.
Loose Ground and a Dragged Pedal
On gravel, the rear brake becomes a steering tool. Riders hold it on through a turn to keep the back of the bike where they want it, stand on the pegs to keep their weight low, and let the front wheel run rather than trusting it with much braking. That style keeps the rear pads working for far longer periods than road riding does, with abrasive dust circulating around them the whole time. Two consequences follow. Wear is measured in days out rather than in months, so look at the remaining thickness after each proper outing, and the caliper should be rinsed with flowing water before the mud on it dries hard. Afterwards, ride gently for a short distance and use the pedal a few times so that pad and disc find each other again.
Fitment and Compatibility
This pad belongs to the rear wheel of the Dorsoduro 750 from 2008 to 2018, and the Factory version of 2012 and 2013 appears in the same list. One box is all the rear needs. Bikes that stay on asphalt are better served by the OR or ST material in the same outline. Should the front be due at the same time, the AGPA101 pad covers the Dorsoduro 750 from 2009 to 2018 and requires one box for each of the two calipers; the DKS032 is the disc listed for that wheel.
Road Approval
We hold neither a German ABE nor any approval paperwork for this article number. It is sold for off-road riding and competition, in keeping with the purpose Accossato mixed the material for.
Scope of Delivery
A box of two AGPP91 rear pads in the STMX material, which is one complete caliper set.
