DescriptionThe whole story▼
Take a BMW F900GS onto a forest track and the rear brake becomes a steering aid. Standing on the pegs, a boot resting on the pedal, you use it to tuck the back of the bike into a rutted corner or to hold speed down a loose descent, and you do it while the wheel throws grit and water up into the caliper. Accossato keeps a separate material for that kind of day. The Off-road sintered (STMX) version of the AGPP91 rear pad is listed for the F900GS built from 2024 to 2026.
Key Features
- Rear pads for the BMW F900GS, 2024 to 2026, article number AGPP91STMX
- The material Accossato keeps for riders who leave the tarmac
- Aimed at mud, sand, dust and water crossings rather than the commute
- Two pads in the box, the set for the single rear caliper
- Fits the same AGPP91 plate as the road materials in the range
- OR and ST versions of the same plate cover road use
- Front pads for this machine are listed as AGPA92
- No German ABE on record; for competition and off-road riding
Construction and Material Quality
In the catalogue this one is described in the fewest words of all: the STMX material is what Accossato offers riders who go off-road. That is a statement about the working conditions rather than about outright power. A rear pad that spends its day in dirt is being sanded as it brakes, since grit finds its way between plate and disc and does the wearing that pads normally do to themselves. Material for that use is mixed to survive the abrasion and to keep biting when the disc is coated in water and clay. Two plates travel in the box, which is the whole rear set for the F900GS.
Grit, Water and the Wash Afterwards
An enduro day ends in the yard with a hose in your hand, and what you do there decides how the next one starts. Let the brakes cool before the water goes anywhere near them, then wash from the top down and keep the jet away from the caliper seals; pressure washers drive sand past a seal far more effectively than any trail does. Spin the rear wheel afterwards and listen: a faint rhythmic scrape usually means a stone is trapped, and a stone left in place will score the disc in an afternoon. Once the bike is dry, take the pedal through its travel a few times and look at how much material is left, because a long wet day can take more off a rear pad than a whole month of road riding. Riders who come back from Wales or the Alps with an F900GS coated to the headstock know the routine: clean, look, then decide whether the set will last another weekend.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's data links the AGPP91 to the rear caliper of the F900GS, 2024 through 2026, and one box completes that wheel. If the same bike is also ridden on the road in winter, note that the AGPP91 plate is made in two further materials for exactly that, so the shape is not the limiting factor. The front of the machine takes the AGPA92 in a choice of five materials, and the DK006 appears in the disc catalogue for the F900GS.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE in our records for this pad and no certificate we could quote. The AGPP91STMX is supplied for off-road riding and competition.
Scope of Delivery
One box with two Accossato AGPP91 pads in the off-road material, forming the complete rear caliper set.
