DescriptionThe whole story▼
Gravel pistes are where a BMW F900GS Adventure justifies its name, and they are also where the rear brake is used most. Dropping down a loose hill with the bike fully laden, you feed in the pedal rather than the lever, let the back wheel drag a little, and keep the whole thing pointing where you want to go. Dust and water get everywhere while you do it. Accossato keeps a material for that job: the Off-road sintered (STMX) version of the AGPP91 rear pad, listed for the F900GS Adventure of 2024 to 2026.
Key Features
- Rear pads for the BMW F900GS Adventure, 2024 to 2026, article number AGPP91STMX
- The material Accossato sets aside for riding away from sealed roads
- Meant for dust, gravel, clay and water crossings
- Two pads in the box, forming the set for the single rear caliper
- Same AGPP91 plate as the road materials, so fitting is unchanged
- OR and ST versions are the choices for tarmac use
- The front of this bike is covered by the AGPA92
- No German ABE on record; for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato sets this material aside for riding away from sealed roads, and that single sentence describes an environment rather than a performance figure. Away from tarmac the disc is rarely clean. It carries a film of dust that turns to paste in a ford, and the pad has to cut through that before it can do anything useful, then keep doing it for the rest of the descent. A mix intended for that work has to tolerate abrasion from material that was never meant to be in the brake at all. Two plates fill the rear caliper, and it is the same caliper and the same plate shape as on the road versions, so nothing changes about the fitting.
A Laden Bike on a Loose Descent
Riding a heavy machine downhill on gravel is a skill built on the rear brake. Stand up, weight back, engine in a low gear, and the right boot doing most of the work with the pedal; a front brake used firmly on that surface simply tucks the wheel. With luggage on board the bike pushes harder, so everything happens earlier and you need to be off the throttle sooner than instinct suggests. Water crossings have their own rule: go through slowly, then ride the next stretch with a light drag on the pedal until you feel the brake come back, because a rear disc that has just been submerged does almost nothing for the first few applications. At the end of the day, let the brake cool before washing, keep a pressure jet away from the caliper, and look for stones trapped between pad and disc. On a trip, a torch and two minutes at the back wheel each evening are worth more than any spare part you could carry.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's tables tie the AGPP91 to the rear wheel of the BMW F900GS Adventure built between 2024 and 2026, and one box completes that end of the machine. If the same bike also spends winters on the road, the identical plate is offered in two tarmac materials, so switching character later costs nothing in fitment. At the front the AGPA92 covers the same years in five materials, and the DK006 is the disc listed for this model.
Road Approval
No German ABE has been issued to us for this pad and no other approval accompanies it. The AGPP91STMX is supplied for riding off-road and in competition.
Scope of Delivery
Two Accossato AGPP91 pads in the off-road material, boxed as the complete rear caliper set for the F900GS Adventure.
