Accossato also makes its rear pad for the KTM 690 SMC (2007 to 2011) and 690 SMC R (2014 to 2024) in STMX, the Off-road sintered compound, described by Accossato as its mix for off-road riders. Supermoto racing includes off-road sections on many tracks, with dirt jumps and loose corners where the rear brake is used to slide the bike. For riders who compete in that format, or who take their SMC R onto gravel tracks, STMX is the rear compound designed with dirt in mind.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato developed STMX for riding off the road. Its pads are made for strong braking, slow wear and limited heat, and this rear version brings that to the 690 SMC and SMC R. The friction material sits on a steel back plate shaped for the rear caliper.
Supermoto Dirt Sections
A classic supermoto track mixes tarmac corners with a dirt section, where the rider slides the rear, jumps and lands on loose ground. The rear brake gets dust and grit in its caliper while being used hard. STMX is made for that environment. On tarmac-only bikes, OR gives a softer pedal and ST covers wet-weather road riding.
After the Race
Clean dirt out of the rear caliper after each meeting, check that the pads move freely and look at the disc for scoring. Replace the pads as a pair. A soft brush and plain water do the job; avoid aiming a pressure washer straight at the caliper seals. Once refitted, pump the pedal until it is firm and make a few gentle stops in the paddock before the next practice.
Fitment and Compatibility
Fits the rear caliper of the SMC 690 (2007-2011) and SMC 690 R (2014-2024), as listed by Accossato. One box does the rear. Front pads from Accossato for this bike are AGPA112 for the earlier years and AGPA177 for 2021 to 2024; the DK209 disc is also listed.
Road Approval
This rear pad has no German ABE or test certificate in our records and is sold for competition.
