Every pad shape in the Accossato catalogue is offered in the mixtures the factory presses for it, and the AGPP91 that serves the rear wheel of the Aprilia RS 457 of 2024 and 2025 is also made in the firm's Off-road sintered material. The letters STMX on the box point at a very different bike from a faired parallel twin: this is the compound Accossato puts together for riders who spend their weekends in the dirt. Knowing what it was drawn up to do is the only honest way to decide whether it belongs on your RS 457.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato names this material simply as its compound for off-road riders, and that is where its character comes from. Dirt-bike brakes work in an environment where the disc is never clean: sand, clay and grit ride in with the water and act as a third body between pad and disc, which wears both far faster than any amount of tarmac braking. Mixtures for that world are built to survive the contamination and to keep answering when the pads have just been through a stream. The pad itself is pressed to the same AGPP91 outline, so it sits in the RS 457 caliper exactly as its road-going relatives do.
What the Letters Are Really For
Picture the day this material was designed around. A wet green lane, ruts full of standing water, a machine that is washed with a pressure hose at the end of the afternoon and ridden again the following weekend with the grit still working its way out of the caliper. Nothing in that description resembles a commute on an RS 457. Fitted to a road bike the pads will stop it, but they were not shaped by tarmac use, and an owner who mainly rides on the road will find the Organic version of the same AGPP91 closer to their week. We list the STMX because it exists for this shape and because some riders ask for it by name.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's data covers the Aprilia RS 457 of 2024 and 2025 for the AGPP91 rear pad, and the STMX mixture is offered in that same shape. It replaces the standard rear pads directly. Whichever mixture you choose, change both pads in the caliper together and bed them in gently before asking anything serious of the brake.
Road Approval
No German ABE exists in our records for this pad, in this or any other mixture, so it is supplied strictly for competition and closed-course riding.
