Many owners buy the KTM 390 Adventure to explore gravel roads, forest tracks and dusty trails, and the rear brake is the first thing that meets that dirt. Accossato lists its AGPP91 rear pad in the Off-road sintered mixture, code STMX, for the 390 Adventure from 2020 to 2023. It is the firm's compound for off-road riders, suited to owners who leave the tarmac regularly, ride through mud and river crossings on their trips and use the rear brake heavily on loose surfaces.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato introduces STMX as the compound for riders who head off-road. The lining is attached to the AGPP91 plate. The company, based today in Villastellone near Turin, also names long life, reduced fading and strong braking among the aims of its pad range.
Gravel Roads and Forest Tracks
On loose ground, adventure riders rely on the rear brake much more than on tarmac. It slows the bike without overloading the front tyre, which can wash out easily on gravel. Dust, sand and mud get into the rear caliper constantly. A compound designed for off-road riding is meant to cope with that, so the rear brake remains useful on long gravel sections, rocky descents and muddy forest tracks. On a multi-day trip far from a workshop, that dependable rear is one less thing to worry about, and a spare pair weighs almost nothing in the tool roll.
After an off-road trip, clean the rear caliper, let it dry, and check the lining. Stones can damage the disc, so inspect it as well. When fitting new pads, clean the piston before pressing it back.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP91 for the rear of the Adventure 390 from 2020 to 2023. For the front, AGPA184 is listed; note that the front pad is not offered in this off-road mixture. No Accossato disc appears in our data for this model. Compare the pads before fitting.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or German test certificate for AGPP91STMX. It is intended for off-road sport.
