DescriptionThe whole story▼
A day on green lanes ends with a bike that needs a hose. Sand in the chain, dried mud in the radiator fins, a rear caliper packed with whatever the track was made of, and somewhere in the middle of the day a ford that put the entire rear end under water. For riders who use the CFMOTO MT 450 that way, Accossato presses the AGPP91 in its Off-road sintered material, article AGPP91STMX, listed for the 2024 to 2026 machines and meant for precisely that kind of ground.
Key Features
- Rear brake pads for the CFMOTO MT 450, 2024 to 2026
- AGPP91STMX: the AGPP91 shape in the maker's off-road material
- Accossato keeps this compound in the range for riders who leave the tarmac
- Two pads to a box, one rear caliper's set
- For the front wheel the AGPA96 is listed across the same years
- The same shape also exists in OR and ST for road work
- Mud, sand and water are the conditions this material is drawn for
- No German ABE held; sold as a competition part
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato keeps the off-road version in the catalogue for one group of riders, those whose wheels spend the day in dirt, and that is the whole of the company's statement about it. Grit behaves like a third body between pad and disc, cutting at both and carrying water with it, and a rear brake on a trail-going machine works in that company most of the time. On an MT 450 used along forest roads and dry riverbeds, the version of the AGPP91 that belongs in the caliper is the one drawn with that job in mind rather than one meant for the motorway.
Mud, Sand and the Hose Afterwards
In loose ground the rear brake stops being a stopping device and becomes a steering aid. A trailing boot on the pedal settles the back of the bike as it drifts, holds a line down a rutted descent and lets a rider walk the MT 450 down a slope too steep to ride. None of that is one hard application; it is hundreds of small ones, made while the disc is being sandblasted by whatever the front wheel throws back. Material chosen for that environment is material which treats contamination as the normal state of affairs.
The hose afterwards is part of the system. Wash the rear end before the mud dries into the caliper, let the water run out instead of trapping it against the pistons, and check what is left of the pads while everything is still clean. Sand shortens the life of any friction face, so the interval between inspections after a day in the dirt is measured in rides rather than seasons. Once the wheel is back in, press the pedal until it hardens, then use the first stretch of forest road to bed the new faces with gentle, repeated applications.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato names the MT 450 of 2024 to 2026 for the AGPP91, and the off-road version shares that window exactly, with nothing older included. One box is the pair a rear caliper takes, which means a single box finishes the axle at the back. At the front the AGPA96 is the listed pad for the same three seasons, and Accossato offers no disc for this bike. Both pads in the caliper are changed at once even when only one looks tired, and a caliper that has swallowed half a trail deserves a clean before the new set goes in.
Road Approval
No German ABE and no test file exist here for the AGPP91STMX, so it is listed as competition equipment rather than as a part for public roads.
Scope of Delivery
One box with two AGPP91 pads in the off-road version, together the set for a rear caliper.
