DescriptionThe whole story▼
Some riders use their Triumph Street Triple 675 R to reach mountain routes that include stretches of unsealed road, such as gravel links between passes. For those rides, Accossato lists the AGPP91 rear pad in its Off-road sintered compound, labelled STMX, fitting the 675 R from 2013 to 2018. It is Accossato's material for off-road riding, and on this bike it only makes sense when loose surfaces are part of normal use.
Key Features
- AGPP91 rear pads for the Triumph Street Triple 675 R, 2013 to 2018
- STMX friction compound, article AGPP91STMX
- Accossato's compound for off-road riders
- For gravel links, dusty passes and loose surfaces
- One box fits the rear caliper
- Road-focused OR and ST also on this shape
- No German ABE; competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato presents STMX as its compound for off-road riders. The AGPP91 outline is shared with other machines, which is why this version appears in the catalogue for the 675 R. Accossato's general aims for all pads include slow wear, limited fade and strong stopping power.
Gravel Links Between Passes
In some mountain regions the fastest link between two passes is a gravel road, and riders on naked bikes take it slowly with a light touch on the rear brake. Dust and small stones get into the caliper quickly. A compound designed for dirty conditions is intended to cope with that. After such a ride, clean the rear caliper area and check the pads for uneven wear.
Is STMX Right for You?
If the 675 R rarely leaves tarmac, the road compounds on this shape will serve better day to day. STMX is a niche choice for riders who meet loose surfaces often, and it is worth thinking honestly about how many gravel miles the bike really covers in a season before choosing it. Riders who only occasionally stray onto a dirt link can simply clean the brake afterwards and stay with a road pad.
Fitting After a Dusty Trip
Grit trapped behind the pads is the enemy here. Before removing the old set, brush and rinse the caliper so dirt does not fall into the piston bore. Clean the piston itself, press it back gently, fit the new pair and pump the pedal until the pressure is solid. Bed them in on clean tarmac with a few moderate stops.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP91 for the rear of the Street Triple 675 R between 2013 and 2018. A single box covers the rear caliper. The front calipers take AGPA38 (2009 to 2017), and the DK203 disc is also catalogued.
Road Approval
Neither a German ABE nor a test report has been provided to us for this pad, so it is sold for competition.
Scope of Delivery
