DescriptionThe whole story▼
For Triumph Thunderbird Storm riders who like a firmer rear brake, Accossato offers AGPA92EV1, its rear pad for the Storm from 2011 to 2018 in the EV1 street/track compound. It is aimed at the ambitious country-road rider who uses the rear brake deliberately to trim speed and settle a long cruiser before corners, and who might take the bike to an amateur trackday. It gives a quicker, stronger response than the touring pads.

- Quicker, stronger rear response
- For confident riders on country roads
- Can cope with an amateur trackday
- Also made in OR, ST, EV2 and ZXC
- No approval documents; for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato positions EV1 street/track as a compound with strong grip for road riding that also works in amateur track sessions. On the rear of the Storm, it gives a clear, direct response to the pedal. Accossato designs its pads to limit heat and to wear at a moderate rate.
Trimming Speed Before a Bend
Experienced cruiser riders often use a light touch of the rear brake to trim speed and tighten the line before a bend, without upsetting the bike. On a long, heavy machine like the Storm, a rear pad that responds clearly makes that technique easier to judge. EV1 provides that response while remaining usable on the road. It is intended for riders who already know how their bike reacts and who want a sharper rear brake as a tool. On a winding road with changing radii, that small extra precision at the pedal can make the Storm feel noticeably more composed.
Take Care in the Wet
A firmer rear pad can lock the wheel more easily on a slippery surface. Build pressure gradually, especially on cold or wet roads.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Storm version of the Thunderbird is covered by AGPA92 at the rear from 2011 through 2018, according to Accossato. The matching front pad is AGPA58. A box contains two pads for the single rear caliper. Replace both pads together and bed them in on a quiet road before riding hard.
Road Approval
We have no ABE and no test mark for AGPA92EV1. It is offered for competition use.
Scope of Delivery
