DescriptionThe whole story▼
Instant torque from standstill makes the Zero DS surprisingly quick on twisty roads, and some owners enjoy exploring that on fast country lanes or on a closed circuit. For the 2015 to 2017 DS, Accossato offers the AGPA92 front pad in the EV1 street/track compound. The company describes it as giving excellent grip for street riding and amateur track use. It is meant for riders who want a sharper front brake to match their electric bike's acceleration.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Zero DS, 2015 to 2017
- Covers the ZF9.4, ZF9.8, ZF12.5 and ZF13.0 versions
- AGPA92 shape in the EV1 street/track compound, code AGPA92EV1
- Excellent grip for spirited riding and amateur track use, says Accossato
- Sharper bite than the everyday materials
- Two pads per box for one caliper
- No German ABE on file; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
EV1 is the sporting all-rounder in Accossato's catalogue. The company says it offers excellent grip for street riding and for amateur track use. For the AGPA92 on the older DS, that means a front pad with a more immediate response, still easy to control for non-professional riders. It is designed to resist fade and wear slowly. The same shape is also listed in OR, ST, EV2 and ZXC. The box contains two pads for one caliper.
Matching Brakes to Electric Torque
An electric motor delivers its pull the moment the throttle opens, so the DS reaches corner entry speeds quickly. On a fast road or at an amateur track day, the front brake then has more work to do than in commuting. A street and track material gives the rider firmer bite and a clear feel through the lever. Check tyre condition as well, because a dual-sport tyre may limit how hard you can brake on tarmac.
Preparing for a Faster Ride
Before a spirited ride or track day, check the pad thickness, disc condition and fluid level. Bleed the brakes if the fluid is old. Fit both pads together, pump the lever until firm and bed them in with progressively harder stops.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA92 for the front of the Zero DS from 2015 to 2017 with the ZF9.4, ZF9.8, ZF12.5 and ZF13.0. The 2024 DS uses the AGPA96 at the front. Rear pads are the AGPP91 for 2014 to 2017 and the AGPA29 for 2024. One box covers one caliper.
Road Approval
No German ABE or approval documents are available for this pad. We supply it for track days and competition.
Scope of Delivery
