DescriptionThe whole story▼
With its wide handlebar and willing parallel twin, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is surprisingly quick on a winding road, and many owners discover that they enjoy riding it harder than they had expected. Some book a track day to find out more. For these riders, Accossato offers front pad AGPA92 in EV1 street/track, listed for the Interceptor 650 from 2019 to 2023. The compound combines keen road riding with amateur circuit use, providing a more decisive bite than a comfort pad.
Key Features
- AGPA92 front pad for the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, 2019 to 2023
- EV1 street/track mixture, article number AGPA92EV1
- Accossato: excellent grip for street riding and amateur track use
- More decisive bite for brisk country roads
- Ready for a first track day
- Plate also made as OR, ST, EV2 and ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato states that the EV1 street/track compound offers excellent grip on the road and for amateur track riding. It is a dual-purpose mixture, well suited to an Interceptor 650 that is mainly ridden on the road but occasionally pushed harder. Accossato's usual goals of a long service life, controlled heat against fading and strong stopping power also apply.
When the Roadster Gets Serious
On a fast sequence of bends, the Interceptor 650 rewards a rider who brakes firmly and early, then carries speed through the corner. A pad with a clearer initial bite makes it easier to judge that braking point and trust the front tyre.
A first track day is a big step for many roadster owners. Before the event, change the front fluid, check the free play of the lever and inspect the fork seals for leaks. Increase the braking force gradually during the first session to allow the pads to bed in properly.
Back on the Road
After a track day, the EV1 pads can stay in the bike for everyday riding. Just check them for uneven wear and look at the disc for any discolouration before the next commute.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato has catalogued AGPA92 as the front pad for the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, covering model years 2019 to 2023. One box is enough, as the Interceptor uses one front caliper on a single disc. The rear pad is AGPP91 and the Accossato disc is DKS035. Always change both front pads at the same time.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or German test documents for AGPA92EV1. The pad is offered for use on the track.
Scope of Delivery
Two EV1 street/track pads for the front caliper.
