DescriptionThe whole story▼
Plenty of F800GS riders never leave the tarmac. With a wide handlebar for leverage, an upright seat and long-travel suspension that soaks up broken surfaces, the bike makes a fine tool for bad back roads ridden quickly, and it turns up at open track days more often than its off-road looks suggest. Accossato's EV1 street/track compound in the AGPA92 pad is drawn for that rider, and the application data covers the BMW F800GS from 2008 to 2018.
Key Features
- AGPA92EV1 front pads in the EV1 street/track compound
- BMW F800GS, model years 2008 to 2018, front wheel
- Accossato names strong grip for road use and for amateur circuit riding
- For riders who use the lever firmly and repeatedly
- Two pads in a box, filling one caliper
- Milder materials wear the same outline for gentler duty
- The AGPP91 pad covers the rear of this machine, 2008 to 2018
- No German ABE on record; offered for track and competition
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes this material as giving strong grip on the road and on a circuit in amateur hands, which places it at the point where a catalogue stops designing for traffic queues. The demand it is built around is repetition under load rather than one heroic stop, and the practical consequence is a pad that still behaves recognisably after a series of hard applications. On a tall machine with a long fork, that steadiness is felt as much through the chassis as through the fingers. As with the rest of the family, two pads make a box and a box fills one caliper.
A Long Fork and a Firm Lever
Suspension travel is what makes an F800GS comfortable on a broken road and also what makes it dive when the front brake is used hard. The fork compresses, the steering angle steepens, and a rider who grabs the lever mid-corner will feel the bike stand up and run wide. The technique that works is progressive: load the fork with a gentle first pull, then increase the pressure once the weight has transferred, and release smoothly as you tip into the bend so the front end rises again without lurching. Riders who often ride the bike hard on tarmac usually add a little preload and slow the rebound slightly, which keeps the fork from using all its travel at the first serious stop. A pad with a consistent response makes that whole sequence easier to learn.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the front wheel of the BMW F800GS built between 2008 and 2018, Accossato lists the AGPA92 pad. The order quantity depends on the calipers fitted to your machine, with one box for each of them. The rear wheel is catalogued for the AGPP91 pad over the same model years, and the softer materials in this outline remain available for owners whose F800GS mainly carries luggage. Accossato does not offer a disc for this model.
Road Approval
There is no approval document in our possession for the AGPA92EV1, and no German ABE has been issued. We supply the pad for circuit and competition riding.
