DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Indian Scout Bobber may look like a laid-back cruiser, but its liquid-cooled V-twin rewards a rider who likes to push on. For owners who ride the 2017 to 2024 Scout Bobber with some enthusiasm, Accossato makes this front pad in the EV1 street/track compound. The company says it gives excellent grip on the road and during amateur track use, making it a step up for riders who brake late into bends.
Key Features
- EV1 street/track front pads for the Indian Scout Bobber, 2017 to 2024
- Accossato cites strong grip on the road and amateur track
- Firm lever for spirited riding
- Suited to fast back roads and taster track days
- Two pads per box for one caliper
- Rear pad AGPP91 available for the same model
- Competition use in Germany
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato positions EV1 between everyday road riding and amateur circuit use, with good grip in both settings. The company also claims its pads wear slowly, last a long time and resist fade because heat is controlled. On a light cruiser like the Scout Bobber, a firmer initial bite can make the single front brake feel more confident. Accossato does not publish friction figures.
Riding the Scout Bobber Harder
Scout Bobber riders who enjoy flat-track styling often like to ride the part too, braking later into corners and carrying more speed. EV1 gives them a clearer bite point without turning the bike into a race machine. It still works in daily use and suits a relaxed track day or an experience day on a circuit. For wet-weather commuting the ST pad is a better fit, and the Organic pad suits purely urban use.
Before the First Fast Ride
New pads need time to bed in, whatever the compound. Ride the Scout Bobber for a while with a series of firm but not violent stops from moderate speed, letting the brake cool between them. That lays down an even film on the disc and gives a consistent bite afterwards. Check the fluid level once the pistons have been pushed back, since it rises in the reservoir.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists front pad AGPA92 for the Indian Scout Bobber from 2017 to 2024, named as the Scout 1200 Bobber. There is one front caliper, so one box covers the front. The rear pad is AGPP91. Bed the new EV1 pads in with a series of moderate stops and check the disc for scoring before fitting.
Road Approval
Without a German test certificate or approval mark, these EV1 pads are offered for racing and competition.
