DescriptionThe whole story▼
Riders who enjoy the Eldorado on winding roads often use the rear brake to steady the bike as they approach a corner. For that more active style Accossato offers the AGPA92 rear pad in its EV1 street/track compound, article AGPA92EV1, catalogued for the Moto Guzzi Eldorado from 2015 to 2017. It gives a more immediate rear response than a cruising pad, while remaining suited to road use.
Key Features
- AGPA92EV1 rear pads, EV1 street/track compound
- For the Moto Guzzi Eldorado, 2015 to 2017
- Excellent grip for road and amateur track use, per Accossato
- More immediate rear bite for brisk riding
- Helps settle the bike before a bend
- Plate also offered as OR, ST, EV2 and ZXC
- Sold for competition use; no German approval held
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes EV1 as providing excellent grip for street riding and amateur track use. On the rear of an Eldorado ridden briskly, that gives the rider a clearer response from the pedal when steadying the bike before turning in. The maker's usual claims of slow wear, strong stopping and fade held back by moderate temperatures apply as well. The EV1 layer is bonded to the AGPA92 plate.
Steadying a Heavy Classic
A heavy retro cruiser with a long wheelbase can feel reluctant to turn if the rider enters a corner too fast. A light touch on the rear brake before the bend helps the chassis settle and makes the turn-in more precise. A pad that responds quickly makes this easier to do smoothly.
Rear pads on a bike ridden like this may wear faster than expected. Check them regularly and look at the disc for any unusual marks. When a new pair goes in, give it a few calm rides with progressive stops before you start using the rear actively again, so the surfaces can bed in evenly. It is also worth checking the pedal height: a pedal set too high or too low makes fine rear inputs harder, and on a cruiser with forward controls a small adjustment can change the feel noticeably.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPA92 is listed by Accossato for the rear of the Moto Guzzi Eldorado, called Eldorado 1400 in its catalogue, from 2015 to 2017. The front pad for the same years is AGPA96. There is no Accossato disc for this bike. One box renews the single rear caliper.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or German approval certificate for AGPA92EV1 in our files; it is offered for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The box holds two EV1 street/track pads for the rear caliper.
