DescriptionThe whole story▼
The standard brake reservoir on a Panigale V4 S is a plastic box the designer hid rather than styled. LighTech's OBT007 holds 16 cm³: machined aluminium outside, clear plastic inside so the level stays readable. Anodising runs to 8 colours on the OBT007. On a 1103 cc machine like the Panigale V4 S it is the cheapest cockpit change available.
Key Features
- Universal by design: LighTech builds one reservoir, not one per Ducati model
- It is the cheapest visible change on a Panigale V4 S
- The OBT007 is machined from solid, not cast or pressed
- LighTech part number OBT007, listed for the Ducati Panigale V4 S
- Reversible — the original part goes back on the Panigale V4 S any time
- Visible fluid level without removing anything from the Panigale V4 S
Why Replace the Reservoir
The cheapest way to change the look of a cockpit is also the most visible. The OBT007 comes with a rubber gasket under the cap, which is what keeps fluid where it belongs. On the Panigale V4 S the reservoir replaces the original box and nothing else has to move.
Maintenance
Change the fluid at the interval the Panigale V4 S manual gives, not when it looks bad. Nothing else about the OBT007 wears in normal use.
Fitment
Fitment is the Panigale V4 S across 2018 to 2026. It is a universal article in LighTech's own description; the Panigale V4 S is the application, not the design brief.
What You Also Need
One thing to order alongside: the bracket. Mounting hardware is a separate line: OBT008 forward, OBT009 rearward, OBT003 as the general support. Ask us before ordering and we will match the bracket to your Panigale V4 S.
Installation
Fitting the OBT007 to a Panigale V4 S is a hand-tool job. Bleed and pressure-test the circuit on the Panigale V4 S afterwards; this is not a cosmetic part. Nothing on the Panigale V4 S is drilled or cut.
In the Package
LighTech ships the OBT007 complete except for the mount. LighTech keeps it as a stock item.
Approval Status
This part sits in the brake or clutch hydraulic circuit, which makes it more than a styling item. LighTech does not certify the OBT007 for road use, and neither do we. On a registered Panigale V4 S, clarify the change with your inspection body, and let a workshop bleed and test the system after fitting.
