A naked Rivale 800 has nowhere to hide an original fluid reservoir. The OBT007 is machined from solid, laser-engraved with the LighTech logo, and holds 16 cm³. Colour is the only variable: 8 options, identical in every other respect. Fitting it to a Rivale 800 is a job of minutes, not hours.

What a Visible Reservoir Buys You
Brake fluid absorbs water, which is why the level and the colour are worth seeing. At 16 cm³ the OBT007 matches the capacity the original reservoir of the Rivale 800 carries. On the Rivale 800 the reservoir replaces the original box and nothing else has to move.
In the Workshop
Allow half an hour on the Rivale 800 including bleeding. Brake fluid strips paint — cover the Rivale 800 tank and fairing before you open anything. The original part goes back on the Rivale 800 any time.
Fitment
Fitment is the Rivale 800 across 2012 to 2026. LighTech builds this reservoir as a universal part — it is not machined to the Rivale 800 specifically, and the fit depends on where you mount it.
What Is in the Box
One reservoir per box, with its sealing gasket. LighTech keeps it as a stock item.
Maintenance
Fluid darkens as it absorbs water — on the Rivale 800 that is now visible without tools. The OBT007 needs no maintenance of its own beyond that.
Before You Order
The OBT007 arrives as a tank and a cap, nothing else. Three mounts exist — OBT003, OBT008 and OBT009 — and which suits the Rivale 800 depends on where you want the tank. Order the OBT007 together with a bracket and the Rivale 800 installation is complete.
Brake System and Road Approval
A fluid reservoir is part of the braking system, and German law treats it that way. LighTech supplies no type-approval document with the OBT007, and we make no approval claim for it. Ask your inspection body about the Rivale 800 before fitting, and do not skip the bleed.
