The ADT-Advance thermoplastic shell is KYT's own compound, formulated to balance structural stiffness against the kind of low profile weight that matters on longer rides. Rather than a single shell for all sizes, KYT produces two distinct shell dimensions across the XS-to-XXL size run, ensuring the geometry of the helmet stays proportionate to the rider's head — a detail that separates genuinely engineered helmets from mass-market alternatives. The plain grey finish is applied directly to the shell surface, giving the colour depth and durability that a sprayed-on graphic cannot replicate.
Visor System and Optical Clarity
The outer visor is treated for scratch resistance and blocks UV radiation up to 380 nm, protecting both the visor itself and the rider's eyes during extended daylight exposure. A central locking mechanism holds the visor firmly sealed against wind noise and pressure at motorway speeds, while the tool-free quick-release system allows roadside swaps in seconds. The built-in sun visor drops into position via a side-mounted actuator and retracts cleanly out of the sightline — no need to stop or remove your gloves. The included Pinlock MaxVision 70 lens clips directly to the visor's dual-pane posts and eliminates fogging in cold or wet conditions.
Interior Comfort and Ventilation
The Hydrocool lining system draws moisture away from the skin and dissipates heat efficiently, keeping the interior environment manageable on summer tours. All interior panels are removable and machine washable, and the cheek pads feature speaker pockets and cable channels for intercom systems. Quick-release cheek pads mean the lining can be dropped out in moments for cleaning or replaced as they wear.
