How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Shell Construction and Safety
KYT's ADT thermoplastic compound strikes the balance that everyday riders actually need: high impact absorption without the fatigue of an unnecessarily heavy helmet. The two-shell-size programme means the shell geometry scales properly with head circumference rather than relying on padding alone to fill the gap — a detail that matters for both protection and long-ride comfort. ECE 22.06 certification confirms the R2R has passed the most rigorous version of the European homologation test currently in force.
Visor System
The wide-aperture outer visor is treated against scratching and UV degradation, and the central closure locks it firmly against the gasket so wind noise and draughts stay where they belong — outside. Swapping visors requires no tools, making a mid-ride change to a tinted shield a genuinely quick operation. The integrated sun visor is operated by a side-mounted slider and deploys in a single motion, removing the need for sunglasses on variable-light routes through towns or tree-lined roads. The included Pinlock MaxVision 70 insert clips directly to the inner visor pins and eliminates the misting that plagues single-pane visors in cool, damp riding conditions.
Interior Comfort
The Hydrocool liner draws moisture away from the skin, regulates temperature during hard riding and long touring stages alike, and unclips for machine washing when needed. Spectacle wearers will find the cheek pads shaped to accommodate arms without pressure points. An intercom-ready cavity is cut into the liner, and the emergency quick-release system on the cheek pads allows first responders to remove the helmet safely without moving the rider's neck.
Ventilation and Aerodynamics
Two large front intake vents channel fresh air through internal ducting across the crown and brow, while a rear spoiler accelerates exhaust air out of the helmet. The result is a noticeably cooler interior at speed, reduced fogging of the visor, and less wind fatigue on longer rides. The aerodynamic profile also keeps buffeting predictable rather than disruptive at motorway speeds.
Fastening
The micrometric quick-release buckle lets you open and secure the chin strap one-handed and with gloves on — a small detail that makes a real difference every time you stop.

The KYT R2R is a universal full-face helmet available in sizes XS through XXL. Use the head circumference guide below to select the correct size. Measure just above the eyebrows with a soft tape. If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger of the two.
