Shell Construction and Safety

KYT moulds the R2R shell from ADT thermoplastic, a material chosen for its ability to absorb and distribute impact energy efficiently while keeping overall mass in check. Producing the shell in two distinct sizes — rather than a single universal mould — means the helmet sits correctly on smaller and larger head shapes alike, rather than simply appearing over- or under-sized. This attention to geometry improves both fit retention and the effectiveness of the EPS liner beneath.

Dual-Visor System

Clear visibility in variable light conditions is handled by a layered approach. The outer visor is scratch-resistant and blocks UV radiation up to 380 nm. A central closure mechanism removes any play at speed, while the tool-free release system lets you swap visors at the roadside in seconds. Sliding the integrated sun visor down from a lever on the left side of the shell transforms the helmet for bright motorway sections or afternoon sun without requiring a stop. The included Pinlock MaxVision 70 insert seats into prepared visor pins and eliminates condensation in cold or damp weather — a feature that genuinely matters on a full-season helmet.

Hydrocool Interior Liner

The interior of the R2R is lined with KYT's Hydrocool fabric, engineered to draw moisture away from the skin and dissipate heat during sustained riding. Ventilation

Two large front intake vents draw air through internal channels that run across the EPS and exit via a rear spoiler outlet. The channelled flow reduces heat build-up at the crown and helps prevent visor misting from the inside — complementing the Pinlock insert on cold days. Retention System
