Enthum is the brightest Dragon in the range and the only one built around silver. On a carbon helmet that is an unusual direction — most carbon lids go dark — and it is the version with a measurable advantage on the road.

A full 6K carbon shell at about 1450 grams

Weight is the reason to buy a carbon helmet, and it compounds over distance. At roughly 1450 g the Dragon carries an integrated sun visor at a weight most composite full-faces reach without one.

🔵 The published figure is for the middle shell. Flies on the Visor measured about 1280 g in the smallest shell and 1500 g in the largest — a real spread worth knowing if you take an XS or a 3XL.

SHARP 4 stars — and what that rating rests on

🟢 SHARP 4 stars. Only a minority of helmets on sale carry an independent rating at all, because SHARP tests a limited number each year — so „no rating" usually means untested rather than poor.

🔵 The listing name is „LS2 Dragon GP Carbon", without a model code. Weight (1.45 kg), carbon shell, double D-ring, full face and the test date all match this helmet exactly, and there is only one Dragon in LS2's range.

Road, not race: no FIM homologation

The approval to check depends on what you are doing. For every road in Europe, ECE 22.06 is what is required and what the Dragon carries.

🔵 For FIM-sanctioned competition it is not sufficient, and the Dragon does not hold the FIM homologation. LS2's answer to that is the FF805 Thunder GP Pro FIM.

About the Enthum silver and white graphic

A pale helmet is resolved by other drivers sooner than a dark one, and the effect is largest in exactly the conditions that cause trouble: flat overcast light, dusk, and the moment a car waits to pull out of a side road. Your head is what a driver's eye actually scans at that moment — it sits above the headlight, at windscreen height, moving against a background that is not. Silver and white put the Dragon at the useful end of that scale while the surrounding graphic keeps it from looking like a plain white helmet. There is a second effect that matters on long summer days: a light shell reflects solar load that a dark one turns into heat inside the EPS, and on a helmet designed for distance that is real comfort rather than a talking point. 🔵 The cost is dirt. Road film and fly strike show clearly against silver and white and will need washing more often than the carbon finishes do.

The Twin Visor System

An internal sun visor costs weight and shell volume, which is why light helmets so often go without one. LS2 fitted one here and still landed at roughly 1450 g — that combination is the Dragon's clearest single advantage over its rivals.

🔵 With the shield down you are looking through two surfaces, so keep both clean; a mark on either becomes visible against low sun.

Pinlock 120 and a second visor, both in the box

An anti-fog insert works by sitting slightly proud of the visor with a sealed pocket of air between the two, so the inner surface stays above dew point. It is the only thing that reliably stops fogging in cold, wet, slow conditions.

🔵 The Dragon includes the Pinlock 120 MaxVision version fitted for it, plus a full tinted visor — daylight use only under most European road rules.

Ventilation — documented, not measured

Fogging is attacked from two directions here: the included Pinlock 120 on the visor, and a breath deflector that turns your breath downwards before it reaches the screen.

🔵 The vents themselves are carbon-capped at the chin and crown, feeding channelled EPS and a carbon rear exhaust. No independent airflow measurement exists for this helmet.

Double D-ring and the Emergency Release System

A double D-ring takes a few seconds longer than a ratchet and is worth it. There is no mechanism to wear, no set position to drift, and the strap holds at whatever tension you pull it to.

🔵 Correct tension is snug under the jaw with no slack to take up. If you can roll the helmet forward off your head with the strap done up, it is not tight enough — or not the right size.

X-Static lining, head shape and comfort

Laser-cut edges matter more than they sound. A stitched seam inside a helmet is a ridge, and a ridge that sits on your forehead for four hours becomes the only thing you can think about.

🔵 The whole lining comes out by hand for washing — X-Static silver fabric, described by LS2 as antibacterial, which slows rather than prevents the smell every used helmet eventually develops.

Where it sits in LS2's range

What the Dragon offers that most carbon full-faces do not is the internal sun visor. Weight-focused carbon helmets usually leave it out, because it costs both grams and shell volume.

🔵 LS2 fitted one and still reached roughly 1450 g with a SHARP 4-star result. That combination is the reason to choose this helmet over a lighter, simpler one.

When something wears out

Cheek pads in different thicknesses are the most useful spare part LS2 sells and the least often bought. They correct a fit that has loosened with age and solve a pressure point that would otherwise mean a different helmet.

Size guide

A tape measure gets you to the right size; it cannot tell you about shape. The Dragon is an Intermediate Oval, which suits most European heads and does not suit round ones.

🔵 If a correctly-measured helmet presses at the temples and gaps at the forehead, that is shape, and the answer is a different helmet rather than a different size.
