DescriptionThe whole story▼
Nobody on a Panigale 899 plans to touch another bike, and most riders eventually do. LighTech builds the ISS200RT from a carbon-graphite polymer that beats aluminium on strength per gram. 7 colour options are available, none of which affect fitment on the Panigale 899. It is listed by LighTech for the Panigale 899 and sold individually.
Key Features
- 7 bush colours, all at the same price
- Made in Italy
- 132 mm guard length of span in front of the Panigale 899 brake lever
- Bar-end weights come off the Panigale 899; nothing else does
- Bush colour is the only choice to make on the ISS200RT
- LighTech's own geometry, not a generic bar-end part
Fitting
No special tool is involved in fitting the ISS200RT to the Panigale 899. With the adapter in place the guard bolts on and is set for angle before final tightening. On the Panigale 899 nothing is drilled and nothing is cut.
The Failure It Stops
A brake lever guard has one job, and it is not cosmetic. The ISS200RT reaches past the lever tip at 132 mm guard length, so an impact arrives on the guard first. Most track organisers will not let a Panigale 899 onto the circuit without one.
Fitment and Compatibility
LighTech's fitment for the ISS200RT is the Panigale 899 (2012 to 2017). No part of the Panigale 899 is drilled or cut; the guard mounts at the bar end.
What You Get
The ISS200RT is supplied as one guard for one side of the Panigale 899. Spare end caps and bushes are listed under their own numbers. Worn parts are renewed individually, which is the point of the system.
Choosing the Adapter
A LighTech lever guard does not mount without its adapter. Every motorcycle takes the adapter matched to its own handlebar bore, and the Panigale 899 is no exception. The part you need alongside it is KPL318, and the “Adapter” option adds it to the order by default. Pick “Without Adapter” only if the Panigale 899 already carries KPL318.
Approval and Track Rules
Racing regulations have required brake lever protection for years; track days increasingly follow. LighTech supplies no road type approval with the ISS200RT and we make no approval claim. If the Panigale 899 carries a plate, settle the question before fitting.
