DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a CB1000R the lever is the part that reaches furthest into harm. LighTech builds the ISS200RT from a carbon-graphite polymer that beats aluminium on strength per gram. 7 bush finishes exist for the ISS200RT, all at the same price. Sold individually, so a CB1000R needs one per side if you want both covered.
Key Features
- 110 g on the bar of the CB1000R
- Stops the brake lever of the CB1000R being squeezed on contact
- Sold individually — a CB1000R needs one per side for full cover
- Bush colour is the only choice to make on the ISS200RT
- Made in Italy
- LighTech's own geometry, not a generic bar-end part
What the Guard Prevents
The rule on most circuits exists because of a single failure mode. The ISS200RT puts a bridge in front of the lever so contact loads the guard, not the brake. At 39.6 g the ISS200RT adds less to the CB1000R than the bar-end weight it replaces.
Fitment
This listing covers the Honda CB1000R, 2008 to 2026. No part of the CB1000R is drilled or cut; the guard mounts at the bar end.
Fitting It to the Bike
The ISS200RT goes on with the CB1000R on its stand and nothing dismantled. Check full steering lock on the CB1000R before you ride — the guard must not touch the tank or screen. Instructions are in the box; the CB1000R needs no modification.
What Is in the Box
The ISS200RT comes as a single side; order twice for the whole handlebar. Spare end caps and bushes are listed under their own numbers. The ISS200RT number is the only thing to quote for a repeat order.
The Adapter Option
The ISS200RT needs one more item before it can go on the CB1000R. Adapters are not interchangeable between models; the Honda CB1000R has its own. On the CB1000R the guard goes on with KPL306, which comes with it as long as the “Adapter” option keeps its preselected value. “Without Adapter” is only for riders who already have KPL306 on the bar.
Regulations and Road Use
Racing regulations have required brake lever protection for years; track days increasingly follow. The ISS200RT comes without approval paperwork for road use. Check your own series regulations for the exact requirement; they differ.
