DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Ninja 400 is a bike people learn on, and learning happens in close company. LighTech builds the ISS200RT from a carbon-graphite polymer that beats aluminium on strength per gram. 7 bush finishes exist for the ISS200RT, all at the same price. It costs a fraction of the lever it protects on the Ninja 400.
Key Features
- 110 g on the bar of the Ninja 400
- 7 bush finishes for the Ninja 400: Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red
- Colour changes the look of the Ninja 400, not the fit
- Bush colour is the only choice to make on the ISS200RT
- Matching adapter for the Ninja 400 preselected in the “Adapter” option
- 132 mm guard length — check it against your Ninja 400 before ordering
Supplied As
The package holds the guard, its bushes and the fasteners. The bar adapter is packed with the ISS200RT whenever a “With Adapter” value is ordered. If the Ninja 400 needs a replacement later, nothing else has to come off.
The Failure It Stops
Nothing else on a Ninja 400 can brake the bike without the rider deciding to. A guard works by being the furthest-forward part at the bar end of the Ninja 400. The result is stiffer than aluminium and lighter at the same time.
Compatibility and Installation
This listing covers the Kawasaki Ninja 400, 2017 to 2026. Fitting needs the correct adapter for the Ninja 400 — see the note below.
In the Workshop
The ISS200RT mounts at the bar end of the Ninja 400; the controls stay where they are. Leave the final torque until the angle is right; the guard should sit parallel to the lever. If the Ninja 400 runs aftermarket bars, confirm the bore before ordering.
Choosing the Adapter
There is a second part number involved in fitting the ISS200RT. Every motorcycle takes the adapter matched to its own handlebar bore, and the Ninja 400 is no exception. The matching adapter is KPL304; it is the preselected value of the “Adapter” option, because the guard alone is not a complete installation. Switch to “Without Adapter” only if you already own KPL304.
Regulations and Road Use
Racing regulations have required brake lever protection for years; track days increasingly follow. We list the ISS200RT without an approval claim because LighTech issues none. If the Ninja 400 carries a plate, settle the question before fitting.
