DescriptionThe whole story▼
Of all the R2R shields, Iridium Rainbow is the one people comment on. Its multi-colour mirror runs through shades that shift as you turn your head, so the front of the helmet never looks quite the same twice, and the tint beneath is meant for strong sun. Use it in daylight only; it is not for night, dusk, tunnels or conditions with poor visibility.
A coating that moves with the light
Where silver or gold mirrors show one colour, the YAR20VI0 shows several, blending from one hue into the next depending on the angle and the sky behind you. It pairs well with colourful graphics and replica designs, and it turns a plain black or white R2R into something far less ordinary. In photos from a track day or a group ride, it is usually the helmet people ask about afterwards, because the camera catches a different colour from every angle.
Key Features
- Multi-colour Iridium Rainbow mirror
- Optical class 1 rating
- Scratch-resistant coating
- Pinlock-ready
- Full-vision field of view
- Fits in seconds, tool-free, with Quick Visor Change
Is it right for you?
If your riding is mostly commuting at all hours, this is a second visor, not the main one; a clear R2R shield stays the everyday choice. If you ride mainly on sunny weekends, at track days or on summer tours, the Rainbow can live on the helmet for most of the season. Either way, bring the clear visor when the ride may last into the evening.
Clarity behind the colours
However lively the outside looks, the view from inside stays calm. The shield holds optical class 1, the anti-scratch treatment protects the coating during cleaning, and the R2R full-vision cut is unchanged. Swapping between Rainbow and clear takes no tools thanks to Quick Visor Change, so the effect is never a commitment for the whole day.
Restrictions and contents
It mounts on the KYT R2R alone; owners of a TT-Revo or R1R need their model's own visor. The inner side is prepared for a Pinlock lens, but none is included. Your R2R's MaxVision 70 insert, supplied with the helmet in our delivery, can be reused. Regulations on mirrored shields differ by country, so please check the rules where you ride.
