D-AIR® is centred on a full-grain D-skin 2.0 cowhide shell — a material chosen for its outstanding abrasion resistance and its ability to conform to the body without stiffening over time. Seamless aluminium reinforcements at the shoulders and elbows are bonded directly to the leather, eliminating raised seams that could catch during a slide. The RSS 4.0 knee and elbow sliders are fully replaceable, so the suit's protective geometry is maintained long after the original sliders have done their job.
The Soft Edges construction at the neck and cuffs eliminates pressure points that accumulate over the course of a race weekend, while the Veloce Racing collar specifically reduces load on the cervical spine during aggressive cornering. The aerodynamic hump is shaped to stabilise airflow at high speed, reducing buffeting without adding unnecessary bulk.
Ergonomics and Fit
The Pent-Axial System is the structural heart of the suit's ergonomics.
