The Nexx Y.TRAVL is an affordable, well-built and genuinely versatile adventure helmet for riders who want tarmac and trail in a single lid — and the Plain version keeps the focus on the helmet itself, in a clean gloss-white finish. Vision for All

With its exceptionally wide eye port the Y.TRAVL gives a bigger sense of openness — the reason it works so well for adventure touring. The clear, optical-class-1 visor has an anti-scratch coating and takes a Pinlock 70 lens to keep fog at bay; the X-SWIFT quick-release swaps it without tools. A range of tinted and mirrored visors is available to sharpen the Y.TRAVL's adventure style.

Off-Road Peak

The peak is built for difficult terrain: it protects against sun, dust, rain and flying stones while the face shield stays clear for a better view. Beyond its aerodynamic balance, it carries an anti-vibration system that prevents buffeting at higher speeds — and it comes off when you want a cleaner, road-focused profile.

Sun Screen

An internal sun visor blocks 99% of UV light and drops down on an external, ergonomic button you can work easily even with gloves on.

Comfort Fit

The lining is made from soft X-Mart Dry fabrics treated with anti-bacterial and anti-microbial technology; they dry roughly twice as fast as standard materials to keep the interior cool and fresh. The 3D-moulded liner is shaped to comfortably accommodate glasses or sunglasses, and the head, cheek and chin-strap pads are fully removable and washable.

Ventilation

Two well-placed intakes — one on the chin, one large vent on the crown — feed a continuous stream of fresh air. Inside, Easy-Flow channels in the EPS route cool air around the head while hot air is drawn out through the rear exhausts by low pressure, for effective cooling on hot days.

Sound & Camera

The discreet, powerful X-COM3 series drops straight into the Y.TRAVL with integrated speakers, battery, cable slots, microphone and Bluetooth 5. The X-COM3 Standard covers the mid-range solidly; the X-COM3 PRO adds 2.0 Mesh technology and world-class Harman Kardon sound. A removable side camera mount holds an action camera securely through the whole adventure.

On Road and Off

An adventure helmet is a compromise by design, and it is worth knowing which way this one leans. The peak and the wide aperture are exactly what make the Y.TRAVL work off tarmac — and they are also what you notice at motorway speed, where any peaked helmet catches more air and makes a little more noise than a smooth touring lid. Nexx has worked hard on that with the aerodynamically shaped, anti-vibration peak, but physics still applies. If your riding mixes surfaces, this is the tool for it; the peak also removes for quieter, road-only days.

Size Guide

The Y.TRAVL runs from XS to XXL across two outer shell sizes (XS–M | L–XXL). Measure your head circumference around the widest part, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and compare it with the size chart on this page. Between two sizes, most riders take the larger one.
