DescriptionThe whole story▼
Triple-certified to ECE 22.06, DOT and FIM standards, the Alpinestars Supertech R10 Team Helmet in Carbon Red White Gloss delivers a measurable safety advantage that no amount of styling alone can replicate. Developed alongside MotoGP riders including Jorge Martin and Jack Miller, this full-face helmet carries the same structural DNA as the paddock into road and track use — wrapped in a head-turning high-gloss red and white carbon livery unique to the Team edition (SKU 8200224-1352).
Key Features
- ECE 22.06, DOT and FIM certified — exceeds standard linear impact values by 37% and rotational impact values by 65%
- Carbon multi-composite shell combining 3K carbon, UD carbon, Aramid and fibreglass for exceptional impact absorption at just approx. 1,540 g (size M)
- Emergency cheek-pad removal system and optimised chin-bar structure engineered to reduce collarbone injury risk in a real-world crash
- 3 mm optical class 1 visor with anti-scratch coating, Pinlock 120XLT compatibility and a 220-degree panoramic field of view
- 11-channel ventilation system — 7 inlets and 4 exhaust ports — delivering continuous airflow at race pace and on long touring runs alike
- Dual interchangeable spoiler kit (Race and Road) included, along with clear and tinted visors and a Tear-Off set straight out of the box
Construction and Safety Engineering
The Supertech R10's shell is not a single-material carbon piece — it is a carefully layered carbon multi-composite architecture that combines 3K high-density carbon fibre, UD carbon, Aramid and fibreglass. Each material is placed where it contributes most: the woven 3K carbon provides visual drama and surface rigidity, UD carbon maximises directional strength, and Aramid adds penetration resistance. The result is a shell that Alpinestars states surpasses ECE 22.06 linear impact thresholds by 37% and rotational impact thresholds by 65%, while keeping the finished helmet to approximately 1,540 g in size M — reducing neck fatigue on extended sessions.
The FIM certification is the detail that separates this helmet from road-only competition. FIM homologation is a prerequisite for professional circuit racing and represents a scrutiny level beyond standard road approvals. The emergency cheek-pad extraction system allows medical personnel to remove the helmet safely after an incident, and the chin-bar geometry has been specifically tuned to deflect rather than transfer impact energy toward the collarbone.
Aerodynamics and Ventilation
Alpinestars spent significant wind-tunnel time on the Supertech R10's outer form. Side turbulators and aero winglets manage boundary-layer airflow at high speed, reducing both aerodynamic lift and audible wind noise — two factors that erode concentration and physical comfort above motorway speeds. The two included spoilers allow the rider to tune the aero balance: the Race spoiler maximises downforce and stability at track speeds, while the Road spoiler prioritises comfort during everyday riding.
Inside the shell, seven air inlets — three at the chin and four across the crown — feed eleven channelled airways that exhaust through four rear ports. The system is designed to maintain anti-fogging airflow across the visor as well as cool the rider's scalp, making the helmet genuinely usable in warm-weather touring conditions, not only on a track where speed alone ensures airflow.
Visor and Optical Performance
The visor measures 3 mm thick and carries an optical class 1 rating, meaning it introduces no measurable distortion across the rider's field of view — a non-negotiable standard for track use where visual accuracy at high speed is critical. The anti-scratch coating protects long-term optical quality, and the visor is fully compatible with the Pinlock 120XLT insert for fog-free riding in cold or humid conditions. A quick-release mechanism allows tool-free visor swaps, and the metal closure ensures the seal holds under the aerodynamic loads generated at race pace. Two visors — clear and tinted — are included in the box.
Interior Comfort and Fit
The eight-piece multi-density EPS liner is shaped to distribute impact energy progressively rather than concentrating it at a single point. The interior textile is antibacterial, moisture-wicking and fully removable for machine washing — a practical necessity for anyone using the helmet regularly on track days or touring. The hydration system routing allows a drinks tube to be run inside the helmet without compromising the seal, useful for endurance laps or long-distance riding. The fit is a close race profile; riders who wear glasses should assess fit in person, as the tight race geometry may not accommodate all frame styles comfortably. A range of alternative cheek-pad thicknesses is available to fine-tune the fit once sized.
Sizing Guide
Measure the widest circumference of your head — across the eyebrows and over the ears — and match to the table below. If you are between sizes, size up and use thicker cheek pads.
| Size | Head Circumference (cm) |
|---|---|
| XS | 53-54 cm |
| S | 55-56 cm |
| M | 57-58 cm |
| L | 59-60 cm |
| XL | 61-62 cm |
| XXL | 63-64 cm |
Fitment and Compatibility
The Alpinestars Supertech R10 Team Carbon Red White Gloss is a universal full-face helmet with no motorcycle-specific fitment requirement. It is approved for road use under ECE 22.06 and DOT regulations and for circuit competition under FIM homologation. Bluetooth and intercom integration is conditionally supported depending on the specific communications system used; official factory integration is not listed, so compatibility should be confirmed with your intercom manufacturer before purchase.

“Technically the most complete helmet on this page: six shell sizes, ECE plus DOT plus FIM, and a shell Alpinestars says exceeds the standard by 37 per cent. It sits mid-table only because it is the most expensive here and 1,540 g is no featherweight.”
— the Inter-Pace crewECE 22.06, DOT and FIM together — three standards.
Six shell sizes, EQRS and a shell that beats ECE by 37 %.
Eleven ports; the crown vent works with gloves on.
A decade of MotoGP development behind the shape.
1,540 g — heavy for a carbon race helmet.
Average; this is a track helmet, not a tourer.
Firm rather than plush — built to stay put, not to cosset.
Six shell sizes: nobody in this field fits better.
Unmistakably a racing helmet, top to bottom.
