Steingrau glänzend. Grau ist der unterschätzteste Ton auf einem Helm, weil er zwei Dinge gleichzeitig leistet, die Fahrer tatsächlich wollen.
Was ein offener Helm leistet — und was nicht
🟢 Historisch war der Jethelm der Standardhelm; der Integralhelm kam später. Was den offenen Helm bis heute trägt, sind Eigenschaften, die kein geschlossener bieten kann: Übersicht, Luft, Kontakt zur Umgebung — und beim J·O2 die klassische Form dazu.
🔵 Was ihm bis heute fehlt, ist ebenso unverändert: der Kinnschutz. Und eine SHARP-Note gibt es für keinen Jethelm.
Zum Steingrau
Grau ist der unterschätzteste Ton auf einem Helm, weil er zwei Dinge gleichzeitig leistet, die Fahrer tatsächlich wollen. Erstens ist er ruhig — nichts daran konkurriert mit der Maschine, und gerade bei einem klassischen Jethelm, der zu Lack in jeder Farbe getragen wird, ist das ein handfester Vorteil gegenüber jedem kräftigen Ton. Zweitens liegt er im Helligkeitswert weit genug über Schwarz, dass sich die Silhouette vor Asphalt und Baumreihe noch abhebt. 🟢 Praktisch ist ein mittleres Grau außerdem der dankbarste Ton in der Pflege: Es zeigt weder hellen Staub noch dunkle Insektenreste besonders deutlich, und Regenschlieren verschwinden darin fast vollständig. Bei einem Helm, der täglich bewegt wird, spart das reale Zeit. 🔵 Eine Wetterlage bleibt ungünstig: nasser Asphalt unter bedecktem Himmel, wenn die Fahrbahn selbst grau wird. Dann liegt der Helm im Kontrast dicht an seinem Hintergrund, und Jacke oder Warnweste müssen die Arbeit übernehmen.
AIM, vier Schalen und ein Doppel-D-Ring
Shoei stellt die Schalen selbst her — jede Lage wird von Hand eingelegt, bevor sie im Werkzeug aushärtet. Das ist der Grund, warum hier sogar vier Schalengrößen wirtschaftlich darstellbar sind, wo andere Hersteller mit einer auskommen müssen.

Das CJ-4-Visier — und das Pinlock, das es dafür nicht gibt
Sechs Tönungen für ein einziges Visier sind ungewöhnlich viel und machen deutlich, wie der Helm gedacht ist: Die Anpassung an das Licht läuft über das Visier, nicht über eine zweite Scheibe im Inneren.
🟢 Darunter Spectra Silber, Spectra Gold, High Definition Yellow und eine selbsttönende Ausführung.
🔵 Eine Antibeschlagscheibe existiert nicht — das CJ-4 ist nicht Pinlock-fähig.
Druckknöpfe, Schirme und die Motorradbrille
Ein Helm mit Schirm und Brille statt Visier ist eine andere Art zu fahren: mehr Luft im Gesicht, ein anderes Sichtfeld, weniger Beschlag. Der J·O2 ist für beide Betriebsarten gebaut — drei Druckknöpfe vorn, eine Kunstleder-Schlaufe hinten.

Belüftung ohne einen einzigen Lüfter
🟢 Im Sommer ist das kein Thema — ein offener Helm ist per Definition gut belüftet. Interessant wird die Frage im Winter, und dort lautet die Antwort: Ein Sturmkragen und ein geschlossenes Visier sind die einzigen Regelgrößen, die man hat.
🔵 Die Belüftung selbst ist nicht verstellbar und arbeitet integriert, ohne äußere Hardware.
Innenraum, Einfassung und die richtige Passform
Kunstleder um die Gesichtsöffnung, herausnehmbares Futter, Polster in mehreren Stärken, Brillenkanäle und die Möglichkeit einer PFS-Anpassung beim Händler: Der Innenraum ist bei diesem Helm sorgfältiger ausgeführt als bei den meisten Jethelmen.
🔵 Nicht vorhanden ist eine Interkom-Vorbereitung.
Rund 1150 Gramm — und der Rest der ehrlichen Liste
🔵 Wer sehr viel im Dunkeln fährt, sollte wissen: Die Ausführungen sind Lackierungen ohne reflektierende Elemente, und eine Sonnenblende gibt es nicht — bei tief stehender Sonne hilft nur ein getöntes oder selbsttönendes Visier.
🟢 Dafür wiegt der Helm rund 1150 g und ist in vier Schalengrößen lieferbar.

Wenn Sie überlegen, ob dieser Helm der richtige ist, hilft eine einfache Frage: Kaufen Sie einen Helm nach Ausstattung oder nach Form? Bei der ersten Antwort führt der Weg zum J-Cruise 3, bei der zweiten zum J·O2.
🟢 Beides sind gute Helme; sie beantworten nur verschiedene Fragen.
Wenn etwas verschleißt
Auch die Kunstleder-Einfassung und die einzelnen Polsterteile stehen in der Liste — Teile, die man bei anderen Herstellern gar nicht bekommt und die bei täglicher Nutzung als Erste unansehnlich werden.
