Einstiegs-Sport-Touring — und was das heißt
🟢 „Einstiegs-Sport-Touring“ heißt bei diesem Helm konkret: Integralbauweise, Heckspoiler, Sonnenblende, sieben Größen — zu einem Preis, der deutlich unter dem der Composite-Klasse liegt.
🟢 Gebaut ist er für Pendeln, Landstraße und mittlere Strecken. 🔵 Ein Langstrecken-Tourenhelm ist er nicht.
Zum glänzenden Hellblau
Hellblau hat eine Eigenschaft, die man ihm nicht ansieht: Es ist hell. Die Sättigung ist moderat, die Helligkeit dagegen hoch — und für die Sichtbarkeit zählt die Helligkeit, nicht die Farbigkeit. Ein hellblauer Helm hebt sich vor Asphalt, Baumreihe und Gebäudefassade deutlich besser ab als jedes mittlere oder dunkle Blau, und er kommt in der Straßenumgebung selten vor. 🔵 Zwei Hinweise. Blautöne verlieren beim Übergang zum Nachtsehen schneller an wahrgenommener Helligkeit als warme Farben, weil das Auge dabei seine Empfindlichkeit verschiebt — abends ist der Vorteil kleiner als am Tag. Und helle Farben zeigen Insektenreste und Kettenfett deutlicher, weil beides dunkel ist und der Untergrund hell; dafür verschwindet Straßenstaub darin fast vollständig. 🟢 Zur Pflege: Glanzlack löst Insektenreste nach dem Einweichen leicht — bei einem Helm, der auf Landstraßen unterwegs ist, ist das der praktisch wichtigere Punkt.
HIRP, ECE 22.06 und DOT
🟢 Was Gewicht praktisch bedeutet: Es wirkt nicht als Last, sondern als Trägheit. Bei jedem Schulterblick beschleunigen und bremsen Sie die Masse — nach mehreren Stunden ist der Unterschied zwischen 1,5 und 1,7 kg im Nacken spürbar.
Die HIRP-Schale des Braker SV liegt bei rund 1525 Gramm.
Die Sonnenblende mit Ein-Bewegungs-Bedienung
🔵 Ein Hinweis zur Pflege, der ernster gemeint ist, als er klingt: Die Sonnenblende nie trocken abwischen. Der mineralische Straßenstaub hinterlässt auf der weichen Beschichtung Kratzer, die man im Gegenlicht sieht und nicht mehr wegbekommt.
🟢 Sie ist einzeln nachbestellbar und mit einer Bewegung bedienbar.
MT-QVSS und die Antibeschlagscheibe zum Nachkaufen
Beschlagene Visiere sind der häufigste Grund, warum Fahrer bei Regen das Visier öffnen — und genau dann verlieren sie den Schutz vor Wind und Steinschlag. 🔵 Beim Braker SV müssen Sie die Antibeschlagscheibe selbst nachkaufen.
🟢 Das Visier ist das MT-V-28B, gewechselt über den werkzeuglosen MT-QVSS.
Drei Einlässe und ein Spoiler, der entlüftet
🟢 Drei Einlässe sind für einen Helm dieser Klasse eine normale Zahl. Interessanter ist, wo die Luft wieder herauskommt: beim Braker SV durch den integrierten Heckspoiler, der zugleich die Ablösung hinter dem Helm ordnet.
🔵 Gemessen wurde das nicht.
Der MT-Micrometric+-Verschluss
🟢 Ein Ratschenverschluss geht schneller als ein Doppel-D-Ring und lässt sich mit einer Hand öffnen. Auf einer Pendelstrecke mit mehreren Halten ist das der spürbarste Unterschied im Alltag.
Beim Braker SV heißt er MT-Micrometric+.
Innenfutter, Passform und der Atemabweiser
🟢 Für die Feinabstimmung der Passform gibt es Wangenpolster als Ersatzteil — der übliche Weg, wenn der Helm im Kopfbereich sitzt, an den Wangen aber zu locker oder zu straff ist.
Serienmäßig sind ein herausnehmbares Futter und ein Atemabweiser dabei.
Universelle UCS-Interkomaufnahme
🟢 Eine universelle UCS-Interkomaufnahme ist bei einem Einstiegsmodell keine Selbstverständlichkeit; manche Helme dieser Klasse haben gar keine Vorbereitung und zwingen zum Improvisieren.
🔵 Das Gerät selbst gehört nicht zum Lieferumfang.
Wo er im MT-Programm steht
🟢 MT-Helmets fertigt in Spanien. Der Braker SV ist innerhalb des Programms der Einstiegs-Sport-Tourer — mit ECE 22.06, DOT, Sonnenblende und Atemabweiser.
🔵 Was fehlt, ist eine Antibeschlagscheibe im Karton und eine unabhängige Bewertung.
Wenn etwas verschleißt
🟢 Ein Helm ist so lange gut, wie man ihn instand halten kann. MT fertigt in Spanien und führt für den Braker SV sämtliche Verschleißteile als Einzelteile — bis hin zum Atemabweiser.
🔵 Nach jedem Aufprall und spätestens nach fünf Jahren gehört der ganze Helm ersetzt.

Take out the washable lining and hand-wash it in lukewarm water. Clean the shell and visor with a soft cloth and water only — never solvents.
