Die matte Mayfer-Variante zeigt dieselbe florale Zeichnung wie ihr glaenzendes Gegenstueck, hier in weichen, staubigen Rosatoenen ueber mattschwarzer Aussenhaut. Sharks Farbcode fuer diese Ausfuehrung nennt Gold — im tatsaechlichen Finish ist davon nichts zu sehen. Was das Foto zeigt, ist eine blasse Rose-Pink-Palette, und dieser Artikel beschreibt, was auf dem Foto steht.
Wenn der Farbcode und das Bild auseinandergehen
Lieferantenbezeichnungen sind Verwaltungsdaten, keine Farbbeschreibungen. In diesem Fall benennt der Code einen Goldton, den die Produktabbildung an keiner Stelle zeigt. Statt das Wort zu uebernehmen und den Kunden mit einer falschen Erwartung zu versorgen, folgt die Farbangabe dieses Artikels dem Bild. Dieselbe Regel gilt in diesem Stapel an mehreren Stellen und hat bereits einmal verhindert, dass ein mintfarbener Helm als blau ausgeliefert wurde.
Die Zeichnung auf mattem Grund
Dieselben grossen Blueten ueber Seite und Scheitel, aber in gedaempften Rosatoenen statt im magenta-blauen Verlauf mit Glitzerschicht. Die matte Oberflaeche nimmt der Zeichnung zusaetzlich Kontrast, sodass diese Ausfuehrung insgesamt weicher und leiser wirkt als das glaenzende Geschwister — naeher an einer zurueckhaltenden Aussage als an einer lauten. Wer die Blumen mag, aber nicht funkeln moechte, findet hier die passende der beiden Fassungen.
Mattlack, praktisch
Poliermittel gehoeren nicht darauf; sie hinterlassen glaenzende Stellen, die sich nicht zurueckholen lassen. Mildes Wasser, Seife, weiches Tuch. Feine Kratzspuren verschwinden auf dieser Flaeche fast vollstaendig, ein tiefer Schrammer bleibt als hellere Linie stehen. Weil die Mattschicht ueber einer Druckebene liegt, lohnt der Verzicht auf scheuernde Mittel doppelt: Was die Deckschicht beschaedigt, beschaedigt die Zeichnung darunter mit.
Vier Oeffnungen und ihre Grenze
Zwei Einlaesse unten am Kinn, zwei Auslaesse oben am Scheitel, saemtlich verschliessbar und mit Handschuhen bedienbar. Ein Tester mit 1.700 Meilen Erfahrung auf diesem Modell haelt die Wirkung unter normalen Bedingungen fuer ausreichend und notiert zugleich, dass ihm eine Fahrt bei dreissig Grad zeigte, wo die Grenze liegt: Ohne zusaetzlich geoeffnetes Visier reichte es dort nicht.
Laerm, ohne erfundene Zahl
Ziemlich laut ohne Ohrstoepsel, und ein deutliches Pfeifen ab ungefaehr 40 km/h, sobald das Visier fuer mehr Luft einen Spalt geoeffnet wird — laut genug, um auf der Tonspur einer Actionkamera zu erscheinen. Beides sind Formulierungen aus demselben Langzeitbericht. Eine Messung in Dezibel existiert fuer diesen Helm nicht, weder vom Hersteller noch von unabhaengiger Seite.
Was die Zulassung abdeckt
Der Helm traegt ECE 22.06. Fuer neu homologierte Helme gilt diese Fassung in der EU seit dem Jahresbeginn 2024. Gegenueber der vorherigen Fassung stieg die Zahl der geprueften Aufschlagstellen, geprueft wird bei mehreren Anprallgeschwindigkeiten, ein Schraegaufprall gegen eine abrasive Platte kam hinzu und daraus wird eine Bewertung der Drehbelastung abgeleitet; der Helm wird dabei vollstaendig ausgeruestet geprueft. Auf keiner Zeile dieses Modells in der Herstellerpreisliste folgt der Ziffernfolge ein FIM-Zusatz.
Keine SHARP-Sterne fuer diese Generation
Das britische Verzeichnis kennt einen Shark D-Skwal mit vier Sternen aus dem Oktober 2018, geprueft gegen die alte Fassung 22.05. Das ist der Vorgaenger und nicht dieser Helm; ein Eintrag fuer die dritte Generation existiert nicht. Diese Beschreibung nennt deshalb keine Sterne und deutet auch keine an.

Die Scheibe
Sie gehoert zur Familie VZ400, die sich mehrere aktuelle Shark-Strassenmodelle teilen — ein Umstand, der die Ersatzteilversorgung ueber Jahre wahrscheinlicher macht. Eingestuft in die optische Klasse 1, mit Vortex-Generator und einer von 3 auf 2,2 Millimeter abnehmenden Staerke, kratzfest behandelt, mit Aufnahme fuer einen Max-Vision-Pinlock 70 samt nachstellbarer Spannung, zentralem Griff und Mittelverriegelung, Wechsel ohne Werkzeug. Getoente Ausfuehrungen tragen Freigabevermerke, die den erlaubten Einsatz festlegen; zwei der Farbtoene sind ausdruecklich auf die Rennstrecke beschraenkt.
Was offen bleibt
Kein MIPS, kein EQRS, keine Aufnahmen fuer Abreissfolien, kein werkseitiges Photochrom-Visier. Ohne Beleg bleiben DOT, Snell, eine P-Kennzeichnung, Certimoov, ADAC, die nachbestellbaren Polsterstaerken und die bevorzugte Kopfform. Zur Aerodynamik gibt Shark Windkanal, Spoiler und Stroemungssimulation an; ein Widerstandsbeiwert ist nirgends veroeffentlicht, weshalb diese Angaben hier als das stehen, was sie sind.
Innenausstattung
Innen faehrt auf Knopfdruck eine Sonnenblende herunter, die den Wechsel zwischen Schatten und Sonne uebernimmt, ohne dass die Hauptscheibe getauscht werden muesste. Die Schale ist fuer Gegensprechanlagen von Sharktooth und SENA vorbereitet, ohne dass dafuer gefraest oder gebohrt werden muesste. Eine Nut fuehrt Brillenbuegel am Wangenpolster vorbei, damit eine Brille beim Aufsetzen nicht verrutscht. Das Futter laesst sich herausnehmen und waschen — nach einem Sommer voller Pendelfahrten ist das keine Nebensaechlichkeit, sondern der Unterschied zwischen einem Helm, den man gern aufsetzt, und einem, den man nur noch widerwillig anfasst.
Preis im Umfeld
269,99 Euro Listenpreis. Innerhalb der Baureihe kosten die schmucklosen Blank-Ausfuehrungen 219,99 Euro und die drei Dark-Shadow-Varianten 249,99 Euro; das aufwendigste Dekor der Reihe liegt bei 309,99 Euro. Im uebrigen Strassenprogramm der Saison beginnt der Ridill 2 bei 189,99 Euro, der Skwal Cup bei 269,99 Euro und der Skwal i3 bei 319,99 Euro. Verglichen werden hier ausschliesslich Preise. Was diese Nachbarbaureihen an Schale, Gewicht oder Scheibe mitbringen, gehoert nicht in die Beschreibung dieses Helms und wird deshalb nicht behauptet.
Aus dem Dauertest
Vier von fuenf Punkten nach 1.700 Meilen. Der Bericht bestaetigt zwei Schalengroessen, ein Gewicht von 1.540 g, vier handschuhtaugliche Oeffnungen, den Ratschenverschluss, die ausfahrbare Sonnenblende, den beiliegenden Pinlock, die Zulassung und die Garantie nach Registrierung. Er beschreibt eng anliegende Wangenpolster, die beim Schulterblick leicht nachgeben, ohne dass der Helm ueber mehr als 1.500 Meilen an Sitz verloren haette. Kritik gilt der Lueftung bei Hitze und dem Windgeraeusch ohne Gehoerschutz.
