DescriptionThe whole story▼
A silver mirror finish gives the Suomy Stellar 2 a cool, chrome-like face that reflects the world back at anyone looking at you. The KASS0VA0 combines that Iridium Mirrored Silver coating with a tint for strong sunshine. Treat it strictly as a daylight shield: never at night, at dusk, in tunnels or in poor visibility. The Stellar 2 already hides a sun visor inside the shell, so choosing a mirrored outer shield is about very bright days and about style rather than a requirement.
The Silver Mirror Look
Silver is the most understated of the Iridium options. It picks up the colour of the sky and the road around you instead of adding its own, which suits plain, graphic and race-replica paint alike. From the outside your eyes stay hidden behind the reflection. It also sits comfortably with the helmet itself: the Stellar 2 is a full-face design with an ADT shell of injection-moulded, reinforced thermoplastic, and a neutral silver front lets that shape speak for itself.
Key Features
- Iridium Mirrored Silver coating over a sun tint
- Class 1 optics according to Suomy
- Ready for tear-offs, carried over from racing
- Scratch-resistant, as stated by the supplier
- Simple swap on the Stellar 2
Mirror Shield or Inner Sun Visor?
On the Stellar 2 you have both. The internal wide sun visor works with a double-pull mechanism operated from outside, and it can be stowed in seconds. The mirrored shield adds shade on top of that for the brightest hours, but unlike the inner visor it cannot simply be flipped away when the light changes. That is why many riders keep a clear shield to hand.
Compatibility and What Is Not Included
Designed for the Stellar 2 and nothing else; the older Stellar needs a different visor. The box holds the shield only. The Pinlock 120 MaxVision insert belongs to the helmet's contents, and tear-off strips are sold on their own. Rules for tinted and mirrored visors differ between countries, so check local regulations yourself.
Optical Class and Tear-Offs
Suomy specifies Optical Class 1, the stricter grade for image distortion. The tear-off preparation comes from the brand's track background: strips can be pulled away when the shield gets dirty mid-ride.
