A Cool Blue Finish
From the outside the shield shows a deep blue reflection that works with dark helmets as a contrast and with blue graphics as a match. When to Use It, and When Not
Bright summer afternoons, open roads, beach rides: yes. The commute home at dusk, an unlit country lane or a tunnel: no, swap to a clear visor first. If the light is changing during the day, remember that the Stellar 2's internal sun visor, worked by a double-pull mechanism from outside the helmet, can handle a lot on its own and folds away instantly.
Racing Details
The shield is ready for tear-offs, the strips racers pull away when the view gets dirty. Suomy also states Optical Class 1, the more demanding grade for distortion.
Check Your Helmet First
It fits the Stellar 2 and not the earlier Stellar. Expect the visor only: the Pinlock 120 MaxVision comes with the helmet, and tear-offs must be bought separately. Requirements for tinted shields vary by country; please confirm them for your own roads.
