DescriptionThe whole story▼
The KASS0VT0 is the clear replacement visor for the Suomy Stellar 2, the shield you can leave on the helmet from an early start until you roll home after dark. Without any tint it works in every lighting situation: night riding, rain, tunnels and that grey half hour at dusk. If your current shield has collected scratches, haze or a chipped edge, this part gives you a clean view again.
A Shield for Every Hour
Clear is the default for a reason. Once the sun drops, your eyes need all the light there is, and a tinted outer shield takes some of it away. On the Stellar 2 you do not have to trade one against the other. The helmet has a wide internal sun visor driven by a double-pull mechanism you operate from the outside, so shade arrives with one movement while the clear visor stays put.
Key Features
- Untinted outer visor for day and night use
- Optical Visor Class 1, as specified by Suomy
- Tear-off ready, a racing detail shared by every Stellar 2 visor
- Scratch-resistant surface according to the supplier
- Designed for a quick, easy change on the helmet
Optics Worth Mentioning
Suomy grades the Stellar 2 shields Optical Visor Class 1. The optical class describes how much a visor is allowed to distort what you see through it, and class 1 is the stricter grade. In everyday terms, kerbs and road markings stay true towards the edge of your field of view, which pays off on long days when your eyes never get a break.
What This Visor Does Not Do
It is made for the Suomy Stellar 2 alone. The earlier Stellar takes a different shield, so read the model name in your helmet before ordering. There is no Pinlock insert in the box: the Pinlock 120 MaxVision lens is supplied with the helmet itself, not with this replacement part. Tear-off ready means the visor is prepared for tear-off strips, but the strips are a separate purchase.
Keeping It Clear
A visor stays sharp longest when you rinse off insects and grit with lukewarm water before wiping, then dry it with a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid solvents and paper towels. Small habits like these protect the surface far better than any polish. Because the visor is easy to change, it also makes sense to keep a spare clear shield at home for the day yours gets damaged.
