How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

When certification matters as much as speed, the Shark Aeron GP Scott Redding Replica 2025 sets the standard that serious track riders demand. Carrying both ECE 22.06 homologation and the FIM FRHPhe-02 (FIM2) racing certification — the same approval level trusted by World Superbike professionals — this helmet delivers documented, independently verified protection before a single lap is turned. The blue and violet matte livery channels Scott Redding's racing identity, but every detail beneath that striking graphic is engineered to keep you safe at the limit.
Key Features
- Dual homologation: ECE 22.06 road-legal approval combined with FIM FRHPhe-02 (FIM2) racing certification for circuit use — verifiable safety you can race on with confidence.
- COVA shell technology: 80% carbon fibre and 20% aramid fibre construction delivers exceptional rigidity and impact resistance at a measured weight of just 1,410 g in size M (±50 g).
- Multi-density EPS liner with four distinct density zones optimises energy absorption across a range of impact scenarios, exactly as FIM regulations demand.
- Optical Class 1 visor as standard — scratch-resistant, anti-fog treated, UV-protective, and tear-off compatible, with a dark-smoke visor included for variable light conditions.
- Five intake vents and seven exhaust vents channel air through an EPS duct system, keeping concentration sharp during long track sessions.
- Emergency Quick Release cheek-pad system allows first responders to remove the helmet safely without risk of further injury — a feature that goes beyond standard road helmet requirements.
Shell Construction and Certified Protection
The Aeron GP shell is produced using Shark's COVA process, which combines carbon fibre and aramid in a single laminated structure. The result is a shell that resists deformation under high-energy impacts while remaining light enough that neck fatigue is minimised across a full race weekend. The FIM FRHPhe-02 homologation is not a marketing label — it is an independently audited certification that confirms this helmet has passed the rigorous impact, penetration, and retention tests required for competition at FIM-sanctioned events. ECE 22.06 simultaneously confirms it meets the current European road-legal standard, making the Aeron GP equally at home on a track day or a road warm-up lap.
Comfort Engineering for Extended Track Use
Racing comfort is not a luxury — fatigue costs lap time and, ultimately, safety. The Aeron GP interior uses 3D-scanned morpho-pads shaped to distribute pressure evenly across the crown and temple areas. Cheek pads are reinforced to hold the helmet stable under high-speed aerodynamic loads, eliminating the micro-movement that erodes concentration. The antibacterial, breathable liner is fully removable and machine washable, and the shell geometry accommodates spectacles without pressure points — a genuine advantage for riders who require corrective lenses on track.
Visor System and Visual Clarity
The fitted clear visor meets optical Class 1 standards, meaning distortion-free vision at every angle of gaze — not just straight ahead. Anti-fog treatment and scratch resistance are factory-applied, not aftermarket additions. The precision seal between visor and shell prevents flutter and wind noise at racing speeds, while tear-off compatibility (a five-piece set is included) allows rapid vision restoration in wet or debris-heavy conditions. The included dark-smoke visor handles bright sunlight without requiring a separate pinlock purchase.
Aerodynamics and High-Speed Stability
The Aeron GP shell profile was developed in a wind tunnel, and the adaptive rear spoiler responds to airflow dynamically rather than acting as a fixed deflector. At speeds where aerodynamic lift can become a genuine handling variable, the optimised shell geometry keeps buffeting to a minimum and maintains a stable, neutral attitude in the tuck position. Reduced aerodynamic drag also directly lowers neck-muscle load, extending the period of peak focus during a session.
Scott Redding Replica 2025 — Design Detail
The Mat KVB colourway — a matte finish in blue and violet — replicates the racing livery associated with Scott Redding's competition career. The matte surface reduces glare in photographs and onboard footage, and the graphic layout reinforces the aerodynamic lines of the shell rather than working against them. Every panel transition is aligned to the shell's contours, making this a coherent design rather than a decal applied over a generic form.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Shark Aeron GP is a full-face racing helmet suitable for track days, circuit racing, and road use wherever ECE 22.06 approval is required. It is compatible with Shark's Sharktooth intercom system and listed SENA units per the Shark catalogue. The helmet is suitable for spectacle wearers.
Size Guide
| Size | Head Circumference |
|---|---|
| XS | 53–54 cm |
| S | 55–56 cm |
| M | 57–58 cm |
| L | 59–60 cm |
| XL | 61–62 cm |
| XXL | 63–64 cm |
Measure your head circumference approximately 1 cm above the ears at the widest point to identify your correct size. When in doubt between two sizes, try both — the FIM-spec cheek pads will compress slightly with use.
