|---|---|---|
| XS | 53–54 cm | 20.9–21.3 in |
| S | 55–56 cm | 21.7–22.0 in |
| M | 57–58 cm | 22.4–22.8 in |
| L | 59–60 cm | 23.2–23.6 in |

| XXL | 63–64 cm | 24.8–25.2 in |

How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

The Shark Aeron GP in Speed-Fancy DWR is not simply a racing helmet — it is a piece of motorsport engineering resolved into its most purposeful form. Built from an 80% carbon fibre and 20% aramid COVA composite shell, it delivers the structural integrity demanded by FIM homologation while remaining light enough to keep fatigue at bay through every session. If the material quality of your helmet matters as much as its lap time, this is where the conversation begins.
Key Features
- COVA composite shell — 80% carbon fibre and 20% aramid construction for an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio at just 1,410 g (size M, ±50 g)
- Dual homologation: ECE 22.06 approved for road use and FIM FRHPhe-02 (FIM2) certified for competitive track racing
- Multi-density EPS liner with internal air channels distributes impact energy efficiently and keeps ventilation moving throughout the helmet
- 5 intake vents and 7 exhaust outlets maintain active airflow even during prolonged high-speed running
- Anti-fog, scratch-resistant optical class 1 visor included, with a dark smoke visor and tear-off set supplied as standard
- 3D-scanned interior with Morpho ergonomic pads, antibacterial and breathable lining — removable and fully washable
Shell Construction and Material Quality
The COVA technology at the heart of the Aeron GP is Shark's proprietary composite lay-up process, combining continuous carbon fibre with woven aramid in a precise 80/20 ratio. The result is a shell that resists deformation under extreme impact loading while shedding every unnecessary gram. At 1,410 g for a size M shell, it sits firmly in the lightweight racing category — the kind of weight saving that preserves neck muscle endurance across a full race distance and sharpens responsiveness under heavy braking.
The inner EPS liner is moulded in four densities, each zone calibrated to manage a specific energy profile. Whether the impact is a low-speed tumble or a high-side at track pace, the liner is engineered to distribute force in a controlled, progressive manner rather than concentrating it at a single point.
Wind-Tunnel Aerodynamics
Every surface line of the Aeron GP was developed and refined in the wind tunnel. An adaptive aero spoiler responds dynamically to airflow, reducing lift at high speed and stabilising the helmet during the committed, low-profile riding position typical of circuit use. The shell profile is optimised to minimise turbulence at the rider's shoulder — quieter, more stable, and less fatiguing over a race stint. The result is a helmet that feels planted rather than wayward as speeds climb.
Visor System
The clear optical class 1 visor ships mounted and ready to ride. A dark smoke visor is included for bright conditions, and the visor mechanism is compatible with tear-offs — five are included in the box — making it equally at home in wet or dusty race conditions. Both lenses are scratch-resistant and anti-fog treated. The precision sealing system around the visor aperture suppresses wind noise and prevents peripheral air ingress that can distract at speed.
Interior and Comfort
The Aeron GP interior was shaped using 3D scanning technology to produce a fit that mirrors real head geometry rather than an approximated average. Morpho pads — ergonomically contoured 3D cushions — support the cheeks and temples without generating pressure points during extended sessions. The lining itself is antibacterial and moisture-wicking, and it pulls free for machine washing without specialist tools. An emergency quick-release system allows rapid liner removal by first responders if required, and the helmet is confirmed suitable for spectacle wearers. Closure is by double-D ring retaining system.
Speed-Fancy DWR Design
The Speed-Fancy DWR colourway is executed in matte white and red — a graphic language drawn from circuit livery traditions, applied with precision printing for a finish that holds its clarity under sustained UV exposure. It is a design that commands attention in the paddock without compromising the aerodynamic shell geometry beneath it. The 2025–2026 collection positioning ensures it remains current across the coming seasons.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Shark Aeron GP is a full-face racing helmet suitable for road and track use wherever ECE 22.06 or FIM FRHPhe-02 (FIM2) homologation is required or accepted. It is compatible with Bluetooth intercom systems including SENA and Sharktooth according to the Shark catalogue. The helmet is confirmed suitable for spectacle wearers. Please measure your head circumference approximately 1 cm above the ears at the widest point and refer to the size guide below before ordering.
