The Nexx X.WED3 is billed as the wildest adventure helmet in the world — proven across roughly 200,000 km and more than 60 adventure tests in the most extreme places on earth, from Alaska and Baja California to Ha Giang and the Merzouga desert. It moves seamlessly, and tool-free, between a full-on off-road/adventure helmet and a road full-face, with room for goggles in the dust. Built on the strong, lightweight X-Matrix2 fibreglass-composite shell, here in a solid white finish.

Contemporary Mastery — X-Matrix2

Some X.WED3 versions use Nexx's X-Matrix2 technology, a process combining multiaxial fibreglass, organic 3D fibres and Kevlar, special aramid fibres and carbon reinforcement. The result is a super-strong, lightweight shell that is around 35% stronger in expansion and flex resistance than ordinary fibreglass.

Perfect Ventilation, in Every Condition

Seven closable intakes and four exhausts let the ventilation adapt to every preference and weather. The innovative, patent-pending Mid Airflow Chamber creates a gap around the head between inner and outer EPS for immediate fresh-air circulation, while hot air is drawn out through the rear vents.

Recoil Visor System

The visor design uses Nexx's proven Recoil system: spring-loaded base side-plates adjust automatically and pull the visor back against the twin-lip beads for a perfect, airtight seal — independent of the peak-fitting system. Pinlock 70 MaxVision is included. The internal sun visor is 18% larger and drops to just above the bridge of the nose. The peak offers 3-stage adjustment and tool-free removal via new anti-twist fixing screws (metal fused with plastic); a screwless peak extensor is also included for low-sun riding.

Anti-Vibration EPS

A dedicated rubber layer sits between the inner and outer EPS, allowing the inner EPS — the part in contact with your head — to micro-move. This reduces the vibration caused by air turbulence at higher speeds, adding stability for the head and a smoother, more comfortable ride.

Arrive Refreshed

Contemporary comfort and carefully chosen materials shape every interior detail: faux leather with large ventilation-mesh inserts and detailed stitching up front for a premium mix of airflow and insulation. The Air Cumbs crown pad is stitched with a special alveolar mesh that creates a fresh-air chamber between the EPS liner and the padding, and the soft X-Mart Dry interior keeps things cool and dry.

F.R.S® Fast Release System

The patent-pending F.R.S® liner lets both cheek pads be removed at once, quickly and without tools: lift the rubberised arms that lock the buttons on each side, slide the red buttons back, and both cheek pads come free. Perfect for cleaning — and, crucially, it lets first responders remove the helmet from an injured rider easily and with minimal movement.

Built for the Trail

One of the X.WED3's unique features is the goggle-strap holder integrated into the back of the shell, which improves goggle placement and tucks into the helmet when not in use. The new X-COM3 series integrates fully — earphones, battery, cable slots, microphone and Bluetooth 5.2 — and the new POV Kit holds an action camera securely, with a top mount (usable with or without the peak), a removable side mount and a 4-position chin mount.

On Road and Off

An adventure helmet is a set of trade-offs. The peak and wide, goggle-ready aperture are exactly what make the X.WED3 shine off tarmac — and they are also what you notice at motorway speed, where any peaked helmet catches more air and makes more noise than a smooth road helmet. Run it in road mode for the quietest highway miles; fit the peak and goggles when the going gets rough.

Size Guide

The X.WED3 runs from XXS to XXXL across three outer shell sizes (XXS–S | M–L | XL–XXXL). Measure your head circumference around the widest part, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and compare it with the size chart on this page. Between two sizes, most riders take the larger one.
