Was ein offener Helm leistet — und was nicht
🔵 Kein Kinnschutz — und dazu keine Sicherheitsbewertung: Der Fünfsterne-Eintrag „Nexx Y100“ bei SHARP beschreibt ein anderes Modell, und zwar einen Integralhelm, keinen Jet. ADAC und Snell führen den Y.10 ebenfalls nicht.
Die Zulassung nach ECE 22-06 ist der einzige Prüfnachweis, und sie ist eine Mindestanforderung, keine Bewertung.
Zum Pastellblau
Pastelltöne haben eine Eigenschaft, die man ihnen nicht ansieht: Sie sind hell. Die Sättigung ist niedrig, die Helligkeit dagegen hoch — und für die Sichtbarkeit zählt die Helligkeit, nicht die Farbigkeit. Ein pastellblauer Helm hebt sich vor Asphalt, Baumreihe und Gebäudefassade deutlich besser ab als jedes mittlere Blau. Bei einem Helm ohne Kinnschutz, dessen bester Schutz das rechtzeitige Gesehenwerden ist, ist das ein sachlicher Vorteil und keine Geschmacksfrage. 🔵 Zwei Hinweise. Blautöne verlieren beim Übergang zum Nachtsehen schneller an wahrgenommener Helligkeit als warme Farben — abends ist der Vorteil kleiner als am Tag. Und helle Farben zeigen Insektenreste und Kettenfett deutlicher, weil beides dunkel ist und der Untergrund hell; dafür verschwindet Straßenstaub fast vollständig.
Polyfusion, zwei Schalen und drei Zulassungen
Thermoplast ist bei einem Stadthelm die sinnvolle Wahl: Polyfusion ist unempfindlich gegen die punktuellen Schläge des Alltags — den Helm am Lenker, den Helm auf dem Sitz, den Helm im Rucksack.
🟢 Gefertigt in zwei Außenschalengrößen; zugelassen nach ECE 22-06, DOT und NBR. 🔵 CCC fehlt bei diesem Modell.
Sonnenblende, Schirm — und das klare Visier, das fehlt
🟢 Leicht getönt ist hier eine wichtige Angabe: Die Blende ist nicht so dunkel wie ein Sonnenvisier, sondern eher wie eine helle Sonnenbrille. Das macht sie im Stadtverkehr brauchbarer, weil man sie beim Wechsel zwischen Sonne und Schatten nicht ständig bewegen muss.
🔵 Ein klares Visier gehört nicht dazu.
Luftführung bei einem offenen Helm
Bei einem offenen Helm ist Belüftung eine andere Aufgabe als bei einem geschlossenen: Die Gesichtsöffnung ist der größte Einlass, den es gibt. Was ein Lüftungssystem hier leisten muss, ist die Luftbewegung über dem Scheitel — dort, wo die Wärme steht.
🔵 Der zweistufige Scheiteleinlass ist nicht bei allen Ausführungen verbaut.
Innenfutter, Brillen und der Verschluss
Waschbar ist bei einem Helm, den man täglich trägt, kein Komfortmerkmal, sondern eine Frage der Haltbarkeit: Schweiß greift das Material an, wenn er darin bleibt. 🟢 Beim Y.10 lässt sich das gesamte Futter herausnehmen.
Der Verschluss ist eine mikrometrische Ratsche mit Schnellöffnung.
Interkom — und die 45-Millimeter-Grenze
🟢 Der Y.10 ist bewusst nicht auf ein einzelnes Interkom festgelegt: Er nimmt universelle Systeme auf, solange die Lautsprecher 45 mm nicht überschreiten.
🔵 Geliefert wird keines. Wer telefonieren oder Musik hören will, kauft separat.
1325 Gramm — und die ehrliche Liste
🟢 Bei 1325 Gramm merkt man den Helm nach zehn Minuten nicht mehr. Zum Vergleich: ein Integralhelm liegt bei 1400 bis 1600 Gramm, ein Klapphelm bei 1700 bis 1900.
🔵 Dafür fehlen: Kinnschutz, klares Visier, Sicherheitsbewertung — und das chinesische CCC.
Die richtige Größe finden
🟢 Der Helm sitzt richtig, wenn er sich beim Kopfschütteln nicht bewegt und die Wangenpolster spürbar anliegen, ohne zu schmerzen. Bei einem Jethelm prüft man zusätzlich, ob er beim Nicken nach vorn rutscht — dann ist er zu groß.
Zur Auswahl stehen sieben Größen von XXS bis XXL.
Wenn etwas verschleißt
🟢 Ein Helm ist so lange gut, wie man ihn instand halten kann. Nexx fertigt in Portugal und führt für den Y.10 die vier Verschleißteile einzeln: Innenfutter, Polsterung, Schirm, Sonnenblende.
🔵 Ersetzen Sie den Helm nach rund fünf Jahren unabhängig vom Zustand.
Wo er im Nexx-Programm steht
Der Y.10 ersetzt keinen Integralhelm und will es nicht. 🟢 Er ist der Helm für die Fahrten, bei denen ein Integralhelm zu viel ist — kurze Wege, Stadttempo, häufiges Auf- und Absetzen.
Für alles darüber führt Nexx geschlossene Modelle, vom Y.100 bis zum X.TR.
