Ein Kinnteil, das sich öffnet — und die P/J-Frage
🔵🔵 Die wichtigste Einschränkung dieses Helms steht nicht im Datenblatt, sondern fehlt darin: eine P/J-Doppelhomologation. Sie ist das, was einen Klapphelm im offenen Zustand zum zugelassenen Fahrzeug macht.
🟢 Am Verriegelungsmechanismus selbst gibt es nichts auszusetzen — MT beschreibt ihn als robust, und geschlossen ist der Helm ein Integralhelm.
Zur Shift-Grafik in Grau / Rot
Auf mattem Grau liegt Rot im Helligkeitskontrast günstig: Der Grundton ist mittel, der Akzent kräftig, und beides zusammen ergibt eine Zeichnung, die aus zwanzig Metern nicht verschwindet. Bei einem Klapphelm, dessen Seitenpartie die größte zusammenhängende Fläche bietet, arbeitet eine solche Zeichnung genau dort, wo Sie im Verkehr am längsten gesehen werden — an der Kreuzung, im Spiegel des Vordermanns, beim Überholtwerden. 🟢 Zur Sichtbarkeit leistet der rote Anteil tatsächlich etwas: Rot ist eine Warmfarbe und behält beim Übergang zur Dämmerung mehr wahrgenommene Helligkeit als kühle Töne, weil das Auge dabei seine Empfindlichkeit verschiebt. 🔵 Zwei Vorbehalte. Rot ist der Pigmentton, der unter dauernder UV-Last als erster Sättigung verliert — und diese ungleiche Alterung neben dem grauen Grundton fällt auf. Und die matte Oberfläche verlangt die übliche Behandlung: einweichen, sanft abnehmen, nicht polieren.
HIRP, ECE 22.06 — und das Gewicht, das MT nicht nennt
🟢 ECE 22.06 ist die aktuelle europäische Norm: mehr Aufprallpunkte als die Vorgängerfassung, zusätzliche Prüfung bei geringerer Geschwindigkeit, Rotationsbelastung.
🔵 Der Genesis R SV trägt sie als einzige Zulassung — kein DOT — und MT nennt kein Gewicht.
Die integrierte Sonnenblende
🟢 Die Blende ersetzt bei diesem Helm ein zweites Visier: Weil im Karton nur ein klares Visier liegt und keine getönte Alternative, ist sie die einzige Blendschutzlösung an Bord.
Sie ist innenliegend, ausklappbar und mit einer Hand bedienbar.
Das Visier 935 und die Pinlock-Scheibe zum Nachkaufen
🔵 Zwei Nummern gehören ins Notizbuch: Pinlock® DKS279 und DKS002. Beide passen auf das 935-Visier des Genesis R SV — und keine von beiden ist im Lieferumfang.
🟢 Beide sind einzeln erhältlich, ebenso das Visier selbst.
Innenfutter, Passform und Interkom-Aussparungen
🟢 Ein Klapphelm sitzt anders als ein Integralhelm: Weil sich das Kinnteil öffnen lässt, ist die Aufweitung beim Aufsetzen geringer — man muss den Helm nicht über die Ohren zwängen. Für Brillenträger ist das der praktische Hauptvorteil der Bauart.
🟢 Das Futter ist herausnehmbar, waschbar und interkomtauglich ausgespart.
Der Mikrometerverschluss
🟢 Der Riemen muss auch bei einem Klapphelm stramm sitzen — das geöffnete Kinnteil ändert daran nichts. Ein Mikrometerverschluss erlaubt die dafür nötige Feineinstellung.
Bedienbar ist er einhändig und mit Handschuhen.
Wo er im MT-Programm steht
🟢 Wofür dieser Helm gebaut ist: Pendeln, Touren und lange Strecken, auf denen sich das Kinnteil an jedem Halt bezahlt macht. Genau dafür sind Sonnenblende, breites Visier und Interkom-Aussparungen ausgelegt.
🔵 Für sportliches Fahren ist ein fester Integralhelm die leichtere und ruhigere Wahl.
Wenn etwas verschleißt
🟢 Zur Pflege: Waschen Sie das Futter ein paar Mal pro Saison von Hand. Visier und Sonnenblende niemals trocken abwischen — Straßenstaub zerkratzt beide dauerhaft.
🔵 Und einmal im Jahr: Drehpunkt und Dichtungen des Kinnteils prüfen, sonst setzt sich der Mechanismus fest.

Take out the washable lining and hand-wash it in lukewarm water. Clean the shell and visor with a soft cloth and water only — never solvents.
