Ein Kinnteil, das sich öffnet — und die P/J-Frage
🔵🔵 Die wichtigste Einschränkung dieses Helms steht nicht im Datenblatt, sondern fehlt darin: eine P/J-Doppelhomologation. Sie ist das, was einen Klapphelm im offenen Zustand zum zugelassenen Fahrzeug macht.
🟢 Geschlossen ist der Atom 2 SV ein vollwertiger Integralhelm mit Ein-Tasten-Entriegelung.
Zur Dexter-Grafik in Rot / Grau
Rot arbeitet im Verkehr auf eine bestimmte Weise: Es ist eine Warmfarbe, und Warmfarben behalten beim Übergang zur Dämmerung mehr wahrgenommene Helligkeit als kühle. Ein roter Anteil bleibt abends länger sichtbar als ein blauer derselben Helligkeitsstufe — das ist keine Geschmacksfrage, sondern eine Eigenschaft des Auges, das beim Wechsel zum Nachtsehen seine Empfindlichkeit verschiebt. Der graue Anteil trägt die Fläche und hält das Ganze ruhig, sodass der Helm nicht sportlich wirkt. 🔵 Zwei Vorbehalte. Rot ist der Pigmentton, der unter dauernder UV-Last als erster Sättigung verliert; neben dem grauen Grundton fällt diese ungleiche Alterung über die Jahre auf. Und Glanzlack in kräftigen Tönen zeigt Kreisspuren fast so deutlich wie Schwarz — einweichen, abspülen, nie trocken wischen, gerade an den Kanten der Zeichnung.
HIRP, ECE 22.06 und DOT
🔵 Ein Punkt zur Einordnung: ECE 22.06 und DOT sagen, dass der Helm bestimmte Mindestanforderungen erfüllt. Sie sagen nichts darüber, wie gut er im Vergleich zu anderen zugelassenen Helmen abschneidet.
🟢 Die Schale ist HIRP, das Gewicht rund 1,7 kg, der Heckspoiler nimmt den Luftauslass auf.
MT-ESP — eine Sonnenblende, die den Windabweiser trifft
🟢 Am Tunneleingang zählt, wie schnell die Blende oben ist. Die MT-ESP fährt über einen Schieber heraus und wieder hinein — ein Handgriff, kein Halt.
🔵 Sie ist ein Verschleißteil wie das Visier und einzeln erhältlich.
MT-FSOS, MT-ESLS und die Pinlock-Scheibe im Karton
🟢 Das MT-ESLS-System entriegelt das Visier und bietet dabei eine eigene Belüftungsstellung — einen definierten Spalt, der bei Wärme Luft einlässt, ohne dass das Visier ganz offen steht.
🟢 Dazu kommen die automatische Antibeschlagstellung des MT-FSOS und die beiliegende Pinlock® DKS512.
Der Doppelhaken-Verschluss
🟢 Stufenfein statt in Zähnen: Beim MT-Micrometric+ lässt sich die Riemenlänge in sehr kleinen Schritten anpassen. Das ist der Grund, warum ein Ratschenverschluss über verschiedene Kleidungsschichten hinweg funktioniert.
Gesichert wird er über die MT-MDTC-Doppelhaken.
Ein Spoiler, der den Auslass verdeckt
🟢 Was ein Auslass im Spoiler bringt: Er sitzt hinter der Abrisskante, wo der Druck am niedrigsten ist. Luft strömt dorthin, ohne dass zusätzlicher Staudruck nötig wäre — das funktioniert auch bei moderatem Tempo.
🔵 Unabhängig gemessen wurde das nicht.
Innenfutter, Passform und der Windabweiser
🟢 Bei einem Klapphelm zählt ein Detail besonders: Nach dem Waschen muss das Futter wieder korrekt eingesetzt werden, sonst klemmt es im Bereich der Kinnteilmechanik. Beim Wiedereinbau lohnt sich die zusätzliche Minute.
Das Futter ist vollständig herausnehmbar; ein Windabweiser gehört zum Lieferumfang.
Interkom-Vorbereitung
🟢 Ein Headset auf einem Klapphelm hat einen unterschätzten Vorteil: Man kann an der Ampel das Kinnteil öffnen und weiter mitreden, ohne den Helm abzunehmen. Genau dafür ist die Bauart da.

Wo er im MT-Programm steht
🟢 Der direkte Vergleich im eigenen Haus: Genesis R SV — 38 € günstiger, ohne DOT, ohne Pinlock im Karton. Thunder 4 R SV — fester Integralhelm, rund 200 g leichter, kann nicht öffnen.
Der Atom 2 SV liegt dazwischen und ist der vollständigste der drei.
Wenn etwas verschleißt
🟢 Die Sonnenblende ist ein Verschleißteil wie das Visier: Sie zerkratzt, und dann sieht man es im Gegenlicht. Sie ist einzeln nachbestellbar — ebenso Visier, Pinlock-Scheibe, Futter, Wangenpolster und Windabweiser.
🔵 Zum Austausch des Helms: nach etwa fünf Jahren und sofort nach jedem Aufprall.
