Venum ist um eine schillernde Schuppenstruktur herum gebaut, die sich ueber die schwarze Schale legt, dazu eine perlmuttartige Schlangenkopfgrafik und der Schriftzug VENUM in einem Verlauf, der zwischen Gold und Tuerkis wandert. Es ist das teuerste Dekor dieses Stapels, und der Aufwand der Zeichnung entspricht dem.

Was auf der Schale passiert

Die Schuppenstruktur bedeckt den groessten Teil der Flaeche und faengt das Licht je nach Blickwinkel unterschiedlich ein — etwas, das eine flache Lackierung nicht nachbilden kann. Nahe dem Scheitel sitzt die perlmuttartige Schlangenkopfgrafik, entlang der unteren Schale laeuft der Schriftzug mit seinem Gold-Tuerkis-Verlauf. Kleinere Textelemente, darunter ADRENALINE INSIDE, liegen als Nebendetail innerhalb des Schuppenmusters, ohne der Hauptzeichnung Konkurrenz zu machen.

Der Preis und was ihn traegt

Mit 309,99 Euro Listenpreis ist dies das teuerste Dekor dieses Stapels, vierzig Euro ueber den gemusterten Standarddekoren der Baureihe und neunzig Euro ueber den schmucklosen Blank-Ausfuehrungen. Was den Abstand traegt, ist der Aufwand der Zeichnung und der Beschichtung — nicht eine andere Schale, ein anderer Verschluss oder eine andere Scheibe. Diese sind bei allen Dekoren der Reihe identisch. Wer die aufwendigste verfuegbare Gestaltung auf dieser Konstruktion sucht, findet sie hier; wer nur die Konstruktion will, bekommt sie in Schwarz fuer 219,99 Euro.

Pflege einer schillernden Flaeche

Die Wirkung stammt aus einer Beschichtung und nicht aus einem Pigment, weshalb scheuernde Reiniger ihr schneller schaden, als man bemerkt. Weiches Tuch, milde Seife, kein Schleifkoerper. Und wie bei jeder Lackierung, deren Eindruck vom Lichteinfall abhaengt, gilt: In der Sonne sieht dieser Helm anders aus als unter Wolken, und auf einem Foto anders als in der Hand.

Die Konstruktion darunter

Zwei Schalenformen tragen sechs Konfektionsgroessen fuer Kopfumfaenge von 53/54 bis 63/64 Zentimeter. Der Hersteller nennt als Werkstoff Thermoplast, die Fachpresse spricht von Polycarbonat. Innen arbeitet ein Daempfungskern aus EPS in mehreren Dichten. Verschlossen wird mit einer mikrometrischen Ratsche und nicht mit einem Doppel-D-Ring. Hinten sitzen Spoilerfinnen, die Shark als Teil einer im Windkanal erprobten Form beschreibt; die Kollektionsseite nennt zusaetzlich eine Auslegung per Stroemungssimulation. Belegte Messwerte dazu gibt es nicht, und diese Beschreibung wertet die Angaben nicht auf.

Gewicht

Etwa 1.540 Gramm fuer die kleinere Form, so der Hersteller, ausdruecklich nicht fuer Groesse M. Eine unabhaengige Redaktion wog an ihrem eigenen Exemplar denselben Wert. Die groessere Form fuer L bis XXL duerfte darueber liegen; eine Zahl dazu veroeffentlicht niemand, und dieser Text schaetzt keine. Im Feld strassenzugelassener Integralhelme, das etwa von 1.250 bis 1.800 Gramm reicht, ist dieser Wert unauffaellig.

Norm

ECE 22.06, in der EU seit Beginn des Jahres 2024 fuer neu homologierte Helme verbindlich. Der Pruefumfang liegt ueber dem der Vorgaengerfassung: mehr Aufschlagstellen, mehrere Anprallgeschwindigkeiten, ein zusaetzlicher Schraegaufprall gegen eine raue Platte und eine daraus abgeleitete Bewertung der Drehbelastung des Kopfes; geprueft wird der Helm samt Scheibe, Pinlock und Kommunikationsgeraet. In der Normspalte der Herstellerpreisliste steht bei allen Zeilen dieses Modells 2206, ohne FIM-Zusatz.

Sterne: bewusst nicht uebertragen

Das britische SHARP-Verzeichnis fuehrt unter aehnlichem Namen einen Shark D-Skwal mit vier Sternen. Dieser Eintrag stammt aus dem Oktober 2018 und gilt einem Helm, der gegen die alte Fassung 22.05 geprueft wurde, 1,53 Kilogramm wog und in den Groessen XS bis XL zu 169,99 Pfund verkauft wurde. Der Helm hier ist ein anderer: durchgehend 22.06, ab 219,99 Euro, bis XXL. Fuer die dritte Generation existiert kein Eintrag. Diese Beschreibung nennt deshalb keine SHARP-Wertung.

Durchzug

Zwei Einlaesse am Kinn, zwei Auslaesse am Scheitel, alle schliessbar und mit Handschuhen bedienbar. Ein Langzeittester nennt die Wirkung unter gewoehnlichen Bedingungen ausreichend und beschreibt zugleich eine Fahrt bei dreissig Grad, bei der die Oeffnungen allein nicht mehr genuegten.

Geraeusch

Derselbe Bericht bezeichnet den Helm ohne Ohrstoepsel als ziemlich laut und beschreibt bei fuer Luft geoeffnetem Visier oberhalb von rund 40 km/h ein Pfeifen, das auf der Tonspur einer Actionkamera hoerbar wird. Das ist eine redaktionelle Einschaetzung aus 1.700 Testmeilen. Eine Dezibelzahl existiert nicht.

Die Scheibe

Familie VZ400, geteilt mit mehreren aktuellen Shark-Strassenmodellen. Optische Klasse 1, Vortex-Generator, von 3 auf 2,2 Millimeter abnehmende Staerke, kratzfeste Behandlung, Aufnahme fuer einen Max-Vision-Pinlock 70 mit nachstellbarer Spannung, zentraler Griff mit Mittelverriegelung, Wechsel ohne Werkzeug. Getoente Ausfuehrungen tragen Freigabevermerke: drei Farbtoene sind fuer Tagfahrten vorgesehen, zwei ausschliesslich fuer die Rennstrecke. Bei einem Dekor, das so stark mit Lichtreflexen arbeitet, lohnt der Hinweis, dass eine dunkle Scheibe abends gegen eine klare getauscht gehoert.

Alltag und Grenzen

Ausfahrbare Sonnenblende, Vorbereitung fuer Sharktooth- und SENA-Einheiten, Nut fuer Brillenbuegel, entnehmbares und waschbares Futter. Ein Tester beschreibt enge Wangenpolster mit leichtem Zurueckrutschen beim Schulterblick, ohne Sitzverlust ueber mehr als 1.500 Meilen. Nicht vorhanden sind MIPS, ein EQRS-Notfallsystem, Aufnahmen fuer Abreissfolien und ein werkseitiges Photochrom-Visier. Ungeklaert bleiben DOT, Snell, eine P-Kennzeichnung, Certimoov, ADAC, Polsterstaerken und die bevorzugte Kopfform. Belegt sind fuenf Jahre Garantie nach Registrierung, die Fertigung in Portugal und eine eigene Ersatzteilkollektion mit sieben Visierartikeln, in deren Ueberschrift dieser Helm namentlich steht.

Das aufwendigste Dekor der Reihe, eingeordnet

Innerhalb der Baureihe teilt sich das Sortiment in vier Preisstufen: 219,99 Euro fuer die beiden schmucklosen Ausfuehrungen, 249,99 Euro fuer die drei Dark-Shadow-Varianten mit getoenter Scheibe, 269,99 Euro fuer die gemusterten Standarddekore und 309,99 Euro fuer dieses eine. Ausserhalb der Reihe beginnt der Ridill 2 bei 189,99 Euro, der Skwal Cup bei 269,99 Euro und der Skwal i3 bei 319,99 Euro — reine Preismarken, ohne dass ueber deren Technik hier etwas behauptet wuerde. Auffaellig ist, dass dieses Dekor damit fast auf dem Niveau der naechsthoeheren Baureihe liegt: Wer allein nach der Zahl entscheidet, sollte wissen, dass er hier fuer Gestaltung zahlt und nicht fuer eine andere Konstruktion.

Aus dem Langzeitbericht

Ein unabhaengiger Test ueber 1.700 Meilen vergibt vier von fuenf Punkten. Bestaetigt werden dort die zwei Schalengroessen, das Gewicht von 1.540 Gramm, die vier handschuhtauglichen Oeffnungen, der Ratschenverschluss, die ausfahrbare Sonnenblende, der beiliegende Pinlock, die Zulassung nach 22.06 und fuenf Jahre Garantie nach Registrierung. Bemaengelt werden die Lueftung bei dreissig Grad und die Lautstaerke ohne Gehoerschutz. Dass beide Kritikpunkte hier stehen, ist Absicht: Ein Test, aus dem nur die freundlichen Saetze zitiert werden, taugt als Beleg nichts.
