Die zurueckhaltendste der vier Inkrider-Farbstellungen: Mattschwarz mit anthrazitfarbener Akzentarbeit auf anthrazitfarbenem Grund und ohne jede dritte, helle Farbe. Damit kommt diese Dekorfamilie so nah an eine schmucklose Schale heran, wie es ihr moeglich ist.

Ton in Ton

Wo die drei uebrigen Inkrider ihre Wirkung ueber eine bestimmte Akzentfarbe aufbauen — Rot, eine Kombination aus Blau und Violett oder eine winkelabhaengige Beschichtung —, faellt genau das hier weg. Uebrig bleibt eine Schattierung von Grau auf Schwarz, die aus einigen Metern Entfernung eher wie eine fein strukturierte Oberflaeche wirkt als wie eine aufgedruckte Zeichnung. Erst aus der Naehe wird erkennbar, dass dieselbe Formensprache zugrunde liegt wie bei den farbigen Geschwistern.

Der richtige Helm fuer welchen Fahrer

Fuer den, der alles will, was unter der Oberflaeche steckt — die aerodynamische Auslegung, die Zulassung nach der aktuellen Norm, die alltagspraktische Ausrichtung dieser ganzen Baureihe — und dabei keine Farbe haben moechte, die um Aufmerksamkeit wirbt. Es ist die Ausfuehrung, die sich am leichtesten mit Kleidung in jeder Farbe kombinieren laesst, weil sie mit nichts konkurriert.

Eine dunkle Schale und die Sonne

Ein schwarzer Helm, der eine Stunde in der Mittagssonne auf dem Tank liegt, wird innen unangenehm warm — mehr als ein heller. Das ist kein Konstruktionsfehler, sondern Physik, und es betrifft jeden dunklen Helm. Praktisch hilft nur, ihn im Schatten abzulegen oder mitzunehmen. Im Gegenzug verbirgt eine dunkle Flaeche Strassenfilm laenger als eine helle, und eine matte Oberflaeche verbirgt feine Kratzspuren fast vollstaendig. Poliert werden darf sie nicht: Poliermittel hinterlassen glaenzende Stellen, die sich nicht zurueckholen lassen. Mildes Wasser, Seife, weiches Tuch.

Was unter der Lackierung steckt

Eine Aussenhaut aus einem Werkstoff, den der Hersteller Thermoplast und die Fachpresse Polycarbonat nennt, in zwei gespritzten Formen, die zusammen sechs Konfektionsgroessen fuer Kopfumfaenge von 53/54 bis 63/64 Zentimeter tragen. Darunter ein Daempfungskern aus EPS in mehreren Dichten. Am Kinn ein mikrometrischer Ratschenverschluss statt eines Doppel-D-Rings. Am Hinterkopf Spoilerfinnen, die Shark als Teil einer im Windkanal erprobten Form beschreibt; die Kollektionsseite nennt zusaetzlich eine Auslegung per Stroemungssimulation. Beides sind Angaben des Herstellers, zu denen kein Messwert veroeffentlicht ist.

Gewicht

Der Hersteller gibt 1.540 Gramm an und bezieht das auf die erste und kleinere der beiden Formen, ausdruecklich nicht auf Groesse M. Eine unabhaengige Redaktion mass an ihrem eigenen Exemplar denselben Wert. Fuer die groessere Form, die L bis XXL traegt, ist mehr zu erwarten, ohne dass eine belegte Zahl vorliegt; geschaetzt wird hier nichts. Zum Vergleich bewegen sich strassenzugelassene Integralhelme ueblicherweise zwischen rund 1.250 und 1.800 Gramm.

Zulassung und Sternefrage

Die Norm lautet ECE 22.06 und gilt in der EU seit dem Jahresbeginn 2024 fuer neu homologierte Helme; geprueft wird an achtzehn Aufschlagstellen, bei mehreren Anprallgeschwindigkeiten, mit einem zusaetzlichen Schraegaufprall gegen eine abrasive Platte und einer daraus abgeleiteten Bewertung der Drehbelastung, und zwar am vollstaendig ausgeruesteten Helm. Ein FIM-Zusatz erscheint nicht. Und zur haeufig gestellten Frage nach Sternen: Fuer diese Generation gibt es keine SHARP-Wertung. Der Eintrag im britischen Verzeichnis, der aehnlich heisst, gehoert zum ersten D-Skwal aus dem Jahr 2018 und wurde gegen die inzwischen abgeloeste Fassung 22.05 geprueft. Er wird hier nicht uebertragen.

Luft und Laerm

Zwei Einlaesse unten, zwei Auslaesse oben, alle verschliessbar und mit Handschuhen zu bedienen. Ein Tester ueber 1.700 Meilen nennt das unter normalen Bedingungen ausreichend und bei dreissig Grad nicht mehr. Zum Geraeusch aus derselben Quelle: ohne Ohrstoepsel ziemlich laut, mit einen Spalt geoeffnetem Visier oberhalb von etwa 40 km/h ein Pfeifen, das auf der Tonspur einer Actionkamera hoerbar wird. Eine Dezibelzahl gibt es nicht.

Die Scheibe

VZ400, geteilt mit Skwal i3, Skwal i Cup, Skwal Cup und Ridill 2: optische Klasse 1, Vortex-Generator, von 3 auf 2,2 Millimeter abnehmende Staerke, kratzfeste Behandlung, Aufnahme fuer einen Max-Vision-Pinlock 70 mit nachstellbarer Spannung, zentraler Griff mit Mittelverriegelung, Wechsel ohne Werkzeug. Getoente Ausfuehrungen tragen Freigabevermerke; zwei der Farbtoene sind ausschliesslich fuer die Rennstrecke vorgesehen. Dass sich mehrere aktuelle Baureihen dieselbe Scheibe teilen, ist der beste verfuegbare Hinweis darauf, dass Ersatz auch in einigen Jahren noch zu bekommen sein duerfte.

Preis

269,99 Euro nach Liste, wie alle vier Inkrider-Ausfuehrungen und der Grossteil der uebrigen gemusterten Dekore. Guenstiger sind nur die beiden schmucklosen Varianten mit 219,99 Euro und die drei mit getoenter Scheibe verkauften mit 249,99 Euro; teurer ist allein das aufwendigste Dekor der Reihe mit 309,99 Euro.

Alltag und Luecken

Ausfahrbare Sonnenblende, Vorbereitung fuer Sharktooth- und SENA-Einheiten, Nut fuer Brillenbuegel, entnehmbares und waschbares Futter. Nicht vorhanden sind MIPS, ein EQRS-Notfallsystem, Aufnahmen fuer Abreissfolien und ein werkseitiges Photochrom-Visier. Ungeklaert bleiben DOT, Snell, eine P-Kennzeichnung, Certimoov, ADAC, nachbestellbare Polsterstaerken und die bevorzugte Kopfform. Belegt sind fuenf Jahre Garantie nach Registrierung, die Fertigung in Portugal und eine eigene Ersatzteilkollektion mit sieben Visierartikeln, in deren Ueberschrift dieser Helm namentlich steht.

Vier Ausfuehrungen im Ueberblick

Innerhalb dieser Dekorfamilie stehen vier Varianten nebeneinander: zwei glaenzende mit kraeftiger Farbgebung, davon eine mit winkelabhaengiger Beschichtung und eine mit fester Palette aus Violett, Blau und Pink, sowie zwei matte, von denen die eine rote Akzente traegt und diese hier gar keine. Technisch sind alle vier identisch — gleiche Aussenhaut, gleicher Verschluss, gleiche Scheibe, gleicher Groessenlauf, gleicher Preis und dieselbe Zulassung. Wer eine davon anprobiert hat, kennt den Sitz aller vier, und die Wahl ist damit ausschliesslich eine Frage des Auftritts.

Aus dem Langzeitbericht

Ein unabhaengiger Test ueber 1.700 Meilen vergibt vier von fuenf Punkten. Bestaetigt werden darin die beiden gespritzten Formen, das Gewicht, die vier mit Handschuhen bedienbaren Oeffnungen, der Ratschenverschluss, die ausfahrbare Sonnenblende, der beiliegende Pinlock, die Zulassung und die Garantie nach Registrierung. Zur Passform beschreibt der Bericht eng anliegende Wangenpolster, die beim Schulterblick leicht nachgeben, ohne dass der Helm ueber mehr als 1.500 Meilen an Sitz verloren haette. Kritik trifft die Lueftung bei grosser Hitze und die Lautstaerke ohne Gehoerschutz; beide Punkte stehen weiter oben in dieser Beschreibung, weil ein einseitig zitierter Test als Beleg nichts taugt.
