DescriptionThe whole story▼
Venum is a collaboration decor, built on a black base with a holographic, snake-skin-textured pattern across the shell and a large iridescent Venum wordmark along the side, alongside a circular badge carrying the brand's own fang-and-skull mark. It is the most visually striking decor in the Skwal Jet range and the only one built around an outside brand partnership rather than Shark's own graphic language.
A bold graphic on a plain-engineered shell
Underneath the holographic artwork, this is the same Skwal Jet described everywhere else in Shark's own materials in plain, everyday terms — lightweight, simple, built for city mobility, with no aerodynamic claim or spoiler anywhere in its specification, unlike the wind-tunnel-tested Jet Cup sibling. The Venum branding changes the graphic entirely; it does not change the shell's engineering brief. At the top of this line's own price range, Venum is positioned as the statement piece of the Skwal Jet catalogue — the decor Shark expects to draw attention in a way the quieter Blank and Dark Shadow options are not built to.
Shell and closure
Lexan polycarbonate, the same material used across the rest of the 2027 Skwal range, closed with a micrometric buckle — adjustable in fine steps, released with a single motion.
What ECE 22.06 actually tests
Look past the price tag and the certification underneath this helmet is the same ECE 22.06 standard fitted across Shark's whole 2027 road range: mandatory in the EU for newly homologated helmets since January 2024, testing eighteen impact points at multiple speeds instead of the five points at one speed that 22.05 required, adding an oblique-impact test against an abrasive anvil, and scoring rotational energy through a Brain Injury Criterion the older standard did not have. Visor, Pinlock and comms unit are tested fitted. Norme 2206, no FIM suffix: this is road approval, and a lower price does not mean a lower test.
Weight, unaffected by the graphic
Shark's quoted weight is 1,395 g (+/-50 g) for the smaller of the possible shell sizes, the same figure as every other decor in this line since the holographic print adds negligible mass. That weight is carried through every head movement across a ride, which is worth remembering under a graphic this eye-catching. Even with a full holographic print layer across most of the shell, the printing process itself adds a negligible amount of weight next to the shell material's own mass.
Ventilation
This shell manages airflow with two intakes at the front and two extractors at the back, a direct route with no chin bar in the way — exactly what an open-face commuter helmet needs and nothing more elaborate than that.
Visor and Pinlock
Side-locking, anti-scratch treated, with a vortex generator at the edge: this is the VZ670 visor, shared across the Skwal Jet Cup and the LED-equipped Skwal i3 Jet rather than exclusive to this model. A Max Vision Pinlock 70 insert is fitted from the factory, tension-adjustable. Only clear is road-legal for all riders; the iridium and dark-smoke tints Shark offers for this shell are racing use only.
Sun visor and everyday use
A sun visor built into the shell drops down independently of the main visor, and the interior is cut to leave clearance for glasses. This helmet's own spec sheet names both SENA and Sharktooth intercom compatibility.
Fit
Sizing spans XS through XXL. Shark has not published how many shell sizes cover that range for this specific model, and this text does not assume it matches the two shells confirmed elsewhere in the family — an honest gap rather than a borrowed number.
Wind noise, honestly
Riders moving from a full-face should expect more wind noise here, not less — that is what an open face does at speed, with no chin bar sealing the front. The visor's vortex generator reduces turbulence without closing the gap entirely. Shark gives no decibel figure for this model, so none is stated.
Where this sits on Shark's own price ladder
At 279.99 EUR, Venum is the most expensive decor in the Skwal Jet range — the premium here is for the collaboration artwork itself, not for any additional engineering.
| Ridill 2 | 189.99 – 209.99 € | full-face, Shark's own entry point |
| Skwal Jet | 189.99 – 279.99 € | this helmet |
| Skwal Jet Cup | 239.99 – 309.99 € | same visor family, adds the rear spoiler this helmet does not have |
| Skwal i3 Jet | 289.99 – 349.99 € | open face, adds an LED brake light this helmet does not have |
Spare parts
This model's visor is not decor-specific: Shark's spares collection covers it alongside the Skwal Jet Cup and the Skwal i3 Jet, all sharing the VZ67005PINCTU Pinlock 70 insert.
What this helmet does not protect
There is no chin bar on this helmet. Nothing about the certification or the visor changes that basic fact: in an impact that would load a full-face's chin section, this shell has no structure over the jaw at all. That is the open-face trade-off, made here at a lower price than elsewhere in the range but not a smaller trade-off for it.
About the holographic graphic
The snake-skin texture and the Venum wordmark both shift colour depending on the viewing angle, a genuinely holographic print rather than a flat metallic finish, with the circular "Adrenaline Inside" badge and fang motif anchoring the design as a real brand collaboration rather than a generic graphic using Venum's name. Shark lists this as an officially licensed Venum collaboration rather than a Venum-referencing graphic built in-house, which is part of why the badge and wordmark carry Venum's own typography rather than a Shark reinterpretation of it.
Who this suits
This decor suits a rider who wants the boldest possible graphic in the Skwal Jet range and has a specific interest in the Venum brand itself — a combat-sports apparel name rather than a motorsport one, which makes this a different kind of collaboration from the racing-driven replicas found elsewhere in Shark's Jet Cup range. It also works well as a second helmet for a rider who already owns a plainer Skwal Jet for daily use and wants something with more visual presence for weekends. Because it is a licensed collaboration rather than a generic graphic, resale and collector interest in Venum-branded gear tends to hold up better than an equivalent unbranded print would, for riders who care about that.
